GitHub Universe 2026

GitHub Universe is GitHub's flagship yearly event for the people who build software. The 2026 edition returns to San Francisco for two days of product announcements, technical breakouts, hands-on workshops and partner demos, framed around how developers now work alongside AI agents. Keynotes and a selection of content are also streamed free to a global virtual audience.

What's on the programme

Day one opens with GitHub's keynote on its latest launches, followed by breakout sessions and experiences through the afternoon and sponsored evening events. Day two continues with breakouts before a closing keynote.

Around the main event

An invitation-only programme runs on October 27, and a separately ticketed Day of Learning takes place at GitHub Headquarters on October 30 (sold out). GitHub is also taking Universe on the road to other cities this year for developers who cannot travel to San Francisco.
