About this event

IMTEX is the flagship exhibition of the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) and South Asia's main trade show for metal-cutting machine tools and manufacturing technology. The 2027 edition runs with Tooltech 2027 for seven days at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, the IMTMA-built venue on Tumkur Road, bringing Indian and international machine builders together with buyers from the automotive, aerospace, electronics and general engineering industries.

International Seminar on Machining Technologies

IMTMA holds its International Seminar on Machining Technologies on 22 and 23 January 2027 during the show. At the 2025 edition the seminar drew around 350 delegates from more than 100 companies for over 30 technology presentations on topics such as hybrid manufacturing, sustainability in metal cutting and digital twins.

The venue

BIEC is a 57-acre complex with five column-free exhibition halls totalling 77,500 square metres, a 5,600 square metre conference centre and a machine tool training centre, owned by IMTMA.

Production heads, manufacturing engineers, purchase managers and business owners from automotive, aerospace, defence, electronics, capital goods and job-shop sectors, plus academia and students.
