About this event
The Mediterranean Offshore Conference & Exhibition (MOC) has been the meeting point of the Eastern Mediterranean offshore energy community since it was launched in 2000. The 2026 edition is held under the patronage of Egypt's Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources and runs under the theme "Egypt as an Anchoring Force for Energy Security in the Mediterranean", bringing governments, national and international oil companies, service contractors, investors and technology providers to Alexandria for three days of strategic panels, technical papers and an exhibition.
Strategic Leadership Day
The first day is a government-led programme in the Grand Auditorium, with ministerial addresses, regional ministers' panels and operator leadership discussions in front of around 2,000 senior executives and guests. Published sessions include:
- Ministerial opening address by H.E. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources
- Regional Ministers Panel: Building an Integrated Mediterranean Energy Market
- Mediterranean Energy Leadership Panel: From Discovery to Global Markets
- Commercial Strategy Panel: Financing the North African & East Mediterranean Gas Expansion
- Egypt as the East Mediterranean LNG Export Hub
- Gas in Transition: Building a Lower-Carbon Mediterranean Energy System
- Technology & Digital Transformation
Conference pillars and technical programme
Alongside the strategic agenda, a technical programme built from a call for papers covers upstream engineering and new energy topics. The organisers frame the 2026 edition around three pillars: accelerating exploration and production, using digitalisation and technology to cut risk and cost in E&P, and investment and partnerships that attract new players.
- Energy security and natural gas
- Offshore innovation and AI in energy
- CCUS, decarbonisation and new energies
- Subsea technology, drilling and production
- Pipelines, marine engineering, safety and environment

MOC targets the whole offshore value chain: national and international oil companies, service providers and contractors, technology and innovation leaders, investors and financial institutions, and government bodies and regulators. Students from Egypt's SPE student chapters also take part in a dedicated panel.
