RAWMEC 2027 – Recycling & Waste Management Exhibition & Conference

RAWMEC is the recycling and waste management exhibition and conference organised by Lebanon Expo, presented as the country's only event dedicated to recycling, waste management and sustainable energy. It connects technology providers, industry leaders, policymakers, NGOs and investors working on Lebanon's transition to a circular, low-carbon economy. The 2024 edition was inaugurated by Lebanon's Minister of Environment.

Exhibition pavilions

The exhibition is organised around three areas of equipment and technology.

• Solid waste management equipment and technologies
• Lebanon Industrial Waste Pavilion: treatment, recycling and safe disposal
• Lebanon Alternative Energy Pavilion: renewable and waste-to-energy systems

Why it matters

According to the organiser, Lebanon generates more than 7,000 tonnes of waste a day and recycles only around 8% of it, while untreated industrial waste pollutes rivers, land and the sea. RAWMEC positions itself as a platform to drive investment, innovation and policy alignment in the sector.

Conference

A conference programme runs alongside the exhibition, with delegate registration open on the official site. The 2024 conference covered Lebanon's waste projects and vision, non-conventional treatment, integrated solutions, recycling and waste-to-energy to reduce landfilling, and ash treatment.
