SMARTEX 2026 - Smart Cities Exhibition

SMARTEX brings the technologies behind smart cities under one roof in Istanbul: urban management and e-government platforms, intelligent transport, building automation, electric and autonomous mobility, and the start-ups and technoparks developing them. The fair grew out of the ISAF International security brand, ran as ISAF – Smart Life from 2011 and was relaunched as SMARTEX in 2025. The 2026 edition runs alongside ISAF International at the Istanbul Expo Center.

Exhibition areas

The show is organised around five themes covering the full chain of smart urban life.

• Smart cities: city planning, data analytics, e-municipality and management technologies
• Smart transportation: urban and intercity transport systems
• Smart buildings and smart living products: automation, energy efficiency, sustainability
• Mobility: electric and autonomous vehicles and their management
• Institutions, technoparks, start-ups and investors

Who visits

SMARTEX is built for public institutions and municipalities, city planners, property developers and investors, engineers, architects and software developers, transport authorities, entrepreneurs, academics and domestic and international technology buyers.

Co-located shows

SMARTEX is held at the same time as ISAF International, the security, smart buildings, fire and occupational safety fair run by the same organiser. In 2024, SMARTEX and its co-located ISAF International, Mobisad-Imex and Data Center Eurasia fairs drew more than 25,000 professional visitors combined, according to the organiser.
