Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2027

Southern Manufacturing & Electronics is the UK's largest annual industrial technology event and the first industry show of the year, held at Farnborough International. Over three free days, engineers, buyers and managers from OEMs, SMEs and start-ups see machinery, components and supply chain solutions up close, and attend CPD-accredited seminars on manufacturing and electronics.

Who attends

Anyone working in engineering, manufacturing and electronics, from sectors such as aerospace, mechanical and electrical engineering and motorsport. The organizer names companies like McLaren, Dyson, Rolls-Royce and Siemens among those that connect at the show. Visitors must be 16 or older.

Seminars and competitions

Two free-to-attend technical seminar theatres run CPD-accredited education on manufacturing and electronics across all industry sectors. At the 2026 edition the Global Electronics Association hosted the IPC Hand Soldering Competition and a Cable & Wire Harness Competition, and an Innovations Gallery showcased new products.

Key figures

The 28th edition in 2026 recorded 10,722 attendees and 571 exhibitors, with conference addresses from Industry Minister Chris McDonald and Make UK CEO Stephen Phipson.

Opening hours

09:30 to 16:30 on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 February 2027, and 09:30 to 15:30 on Thursday 4 February, in Hall 1.
