About this event

The Avalon Australian International Airshow is Australia's largest international airshow and its premier aerospace and defence exposition. Held at Avalon Airport near Geelong since 1992 and presented by the not-for-profit AMDA Foundation with the Royal Australian Air Force, the 2027 edition opens with industry-only trade days before the public airshow program from Friday 26 February.

Trade days

From Tuesday 23 to Friday 26 February 2027, trade day sessions are reserved for people who can show direct business activity in defence and related government or industry sectors, and for Australian and international defence personnel. Trade and Defence Visitor registration is required.

Industry exposition

The international industry exhibition showcases 900+ exhibiting organisations in aviation, aerospace and defence, alongside extensive aircraft displays, a specialist conference and symposia program, business-to-business and delegation meetings, senior delegation and VIP hosting, and a Careers Program. The Australian Air Freight Summit launches at Avalon 2027.

Public airshow

The public program runs from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 February, including the Friday Night Alight twilight show and two full days of flying displays. Public tickets go on sale through Ticketek in November 2026.
