Top security events in the Gulf in 2026–27

This list covers the security events in the Gulf that atndr lists for the 2026–27 season, from 16 November 2026 to 29 January 2027. It spans four kinds of security: physical and perimeter security, public safety and policing, defence, and cybersecurity. The entries run in date order, not by rank, because they serve different buyers. A police procurement officer and a security operations centre lead will not want the same show.

Each event made the list for three reasons. It is on atndr as a live listing. Its official site confirms the 2026–27 dates and venue. And security is its main subject, or, in GITEX's case, a dedicated stage.

The list has a gap. Two dedicated cybersecurity events, GISEC Global in Dubai and the Global Cybersecurity Forum in Riyadh, are not on atndr yet. They are not listed below, and this guide gives no dates for them. Check their official sites directly. On atndr, Black Hat MEA 2026 is the one dedicated cybersecurity event in the Gulf for 2026–27.

1. Intersec Saudi Arabia 2026

16–18 November 2026 · Riyadh · Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center

Intersec Saudi Arabia is the kingdom's trade show for security, safety and fire protection, organized by Messe Frankfurt Middle East. The 2026 show is its 8th edition and runs under the patronage of Saudi Arabia's Minister of Interior. The organizer expects more than 500 exhibitors from over 40 countries and more than 25,000 professionals. The show floor is split into five sectors: Commercial & Perimeter Security, Homeland Security & Policing, Cybersecurity, Fire & Rescue, and Safety & Health.

Best for: government buyers, integrators, contractors and facility managers sourcing security and fire systems for Saudi projects. It is trade-only, open to industry professionals aged 18 and over who register in advance.

2. World Police Summit 2026

16–18 November 2026 · Dubai · Dubai World Trade Centre

The World Police Summit is hosted by Dubai Police. It is the law-enforcement event on this list: police leaders, policymakers and technology suppliers meet over three days, from 9am to 5pm. The 2026 theme is "Connected for Impact: Uniting Global Forces to Safeguard Future Generations". The organizer reports close to 53,000 visits from more than 110 countries at the 2025 edition, held in May 2025. It cites more than 300 speakers, 170+ exhibitors and 12 specialized tracks. Topics on the atndr listing include cybercrime, forensics, border security and AI in policing.

Best for: police and public-safety officials, and companies that sell to them. It runs on the same dates as Intersec Saudi Arabia, so choose one.

3. Black Hat MEA 2026

1–3 December 2026 · Riyadh · Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Centre (Malham)

Black Hat MEA is the dedicated cybersecurity conference and exhibition on this list. Its official site cites 500+ brands, 40,000 in attendance, 330+ CISOs and 300+ speakers. The programme includes an Executive Summit, Briefings, the Arsenal tool demos, Capture the Flag, paid Trainings and the CyberSeed startup competition. Passes are paid. The organizer says standard pricing is now live and the early-bird rate has ended.

Best for: CISOs, security operations teams, penetration testers and ethical hackers, cybersecurity vendors and investors.

4. GITEX Global 2026

7–11 December 2026 · Dubai · Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City Dubai

GITEX Global is a technology show, not a security show. It made this list because its programme includes a dedicated cybersecurity stage, the Q (Cyber) stage, alongside AI and other tracks. The GITEX Summit runs on 7 December and the four-day expo on 8–11 December. Visitor access is ticketed.

Best for: security leaders who also cover AI, cloud and digital government, and vendors selling to large enterprise and public-sector IT buyers.

5. Intersec Global 2027

12–14 January 2027 · Dubai · Dubai World Trade Centre

Intersec Global is Messe Frankfurt's flagship security, safety and fire protection show. It runs 10am–6pm across the Dubai World Trade Centre halls and outdoor display area. The organizer promises more than 1,000 exhibitors across five product domains: National Security & Law Enforcement, Cybersecurity & Resilience, Surveillance & Physical Security, Fire, Rescue & Emergency Response, and Safety & Wellbeing. The conference programme includes a Cybersecurity Conference, a Security Integration Conference and a Control Room Innovation Conference. Like the Saudi edition, it is trade-only for professionals aged 18 and over.

Best for: the widest cross-section of the security trade: buyers, distributors, integrators and consultants from across the region.

6. IDEX & NAVDEX 2027

25–29 January 2027 · Abu Dhabi · ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi

IDEX is an international defence exhibition, and NAVDEX is the naval defence and maritime security show that runs alongside it. The 2027 event is IDEX's 17th edition. It is organized by ADNEC Group with the UAE Ministry of Defence, in association with the Tawazun Council. IDEX's site reports 206,000 visitors, 1,565 brands and exhibitors and 65 countries at the 2025 edition. Features include the International Defence Conference, IDEX NXT, a CBRNE Hub and an Innovation Trail.

Best for: armed forces, defence procurement officials, OEMs and defence contractors. It is five days, the longest event here.

All six fall in an eleven-week stretch from mid-November to late January. Four of the six are in the UAE and two in Saudi Arabia. atndr lists no upcoming security event in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait or Oman for this season.

Start with the kind of security you buy or sell. The events barely overlap in audience.

• Cybersecurity teams and vendors: Black Hat MEA 2026 is the only dedicated cyber event on the list. Add GITEX Global 2026 if your buyers also sit in enterprise IT or government digital teams.
• Physical security, fire and safety: Intersec Global 2027 for the widest regional marketplace. Choose Intersec Saudi Arabia 2026 if your projects or customers are in Saudi Arabia.
• Policing and public safety: World Police Summit 2026. Intersec's homeland security and law-enforcement sections are the trade-show alternative.
• Defence and maritime security: IDEX & NAVDEX 2027.

Two clashes are worth planning around. Intersec Saudi Arabia 2026 and World Police Summit 2026 both run on 16–18 November 2026, in different countries. Black Hat MEA 2026 ends on 3 December and GITEX Global 2026 starts on 7 December, so a cyber team can cover both in one trip across two countries.

Register online before you travel. Three models apply on this list.

1. Trade-only exhibitions. Intersec Saudi Arabia 2026 and Intersec Global 2027 admit industry professionals aged 18 and over who register as trade visitors. Expect the organizer to check your company and role.
2. Paid conference passes. Black Hat MEA 2026 sells passes, and its early-bird pricing for 2026 has ended. GITEX Global 2026 is ticketed. Paid trainings and executive programmes cost extra where offered.
3. Delegate and official registration. World Police Summit 2026 and IDEX & NAVDEX 2027 register delegates, visitors, exhibitors and media separately. Much of their audience comes as official delegations.
