IBBC Baghdad Conference 2026: Rising to the Challenges

The Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) holds its 2026 Baghdad Conference under the theme "Rising to the Challenges". The main conference day at the Babylon Hotel brings IBBC members, business leaders, investors and partners together to discuss the business environment in Iraq and the sectors that drive it, from finance and energy to infrastructure. It suits companies already established in Iraq as well as those weighing market entry.

Main conference programme

The main conference on Monday 30 November explores six themes, alongside an IBBC Women's Group Roundtable and a Maritime Committee Meeting. Registration opens at 08:00, welcome addresses start at 09:30, and the day ends with closing comments and lunch. The organizers note the programme is subject to change and speakers will be announced later.

Around the conference

The programme spans two days. Sunday 29 November brings an IBBC Education Day at Baghdad University, an online IBBC Tech Forum on AI and business (16:00 to 17:30 Baghdad time, on MS Teams) and a pre-conference reception at the Almaseer Insurance Building in Karadat Mariyam.

IBBC events gather its member companies, Iraqi ministers and officials, British and Iraqi business leaders, investors and partners. The council runs most of its events for members, and holds a conference in Iraq as part of a calendar that also includes London and Dubai.
