IECE 2026 – 4th International Engineering Conference

IECE 2026 is the fourth International Engineering Conference of the Saudi Council of Engineers, held under the patronage of Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing. Under the slogan Leading the Future, Innovating Solutions, it brings engineering sector leaders, experts and organizations from Saudi Arabia and abroad to Riyadh Front for three days of panels, scientific papers, an exhibition and a hackathon. The conference started in 2017 and was last held in 2023.

Panel discussions

Ministers, chief executives and industry leaders debate the future of the engineering sector, with one theme per day: Engineering and Major National Transformations on day one, Engineering, Economy and Investment on day two, and Engineering, Humanity and the Future on day three.

Scientific tracks

The technical programme of peer-reviewed papers is organized in six tracks:

• Engineering Intelligence: AI & Digital Transformation for Mega Projects
• Future Energy Systems: Smart Grids, Storage & Green Hydrogen
• Advanced Construction Technology and Industrialized Building
• Water Security & Sustainable Environmental Engineering
• Smart Industry and Advanced Supply Chains
• Engineering Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC)

Exhibition and hackathon

An engineering exhibition and a platform for launches and partnerships run alongside the sessions. The Engineering Hackathon takes teams of students, engineers and innovators from ideation and mentoring to a final in-person presentation and judging at the conference.
