JIMTOF 2026 (The 33rd Japan International Machine Tool Fair)

JIMTOF, the Japan International Machine Tool Fair, is the biennial showcase of the machine tool industry, organised by the Japan Machine Tool Builders' Association and Tokyo Big Sight Inc. The 33rd edition runs for six days across the East, West and South halls of Tokyo Big Sight, where builders and suppliers present machines and technology for metal cutting and forming to buyers from around the world.

What's on show

Exhibits are displayed by category across 92,850 square metres of exhibition space.

• Machine tools for metal cutting and metal forming
• Machine tool accessories and cutting and wear-resistant tools
• Diamond and CBN tools, grinding wheels and abrasives
• Gears and gear devices
• Oil hydraulic, water hydraulic and pneumatic machinery
• Precision and optical measuring instruments and testing machinery
• Controllers and related software, including CAD/CAM

Programme

Alongside the exhibition, JIMTOF runs lectures and seminars, special exhibitions, workshops in the Conference Tower and South Exhibition Hall, the IMEC2026 programme and a student support programme.

Good to know

East Halls 4 to 6 are closed during JIMTOF 2026 because of Tokyo Big Sight's large-scale renovation. The show is backed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
