About this event

LIGNA is the world's leading trade fair for woodworking and wood processing plant, machinery and tools, run by Deutsche Messe on the Hannover Exhibition Grounds. It covers the whole chain of the primary and secondary wood industries, from forestry equipment and sawmills to panel production, surface finishing and automation. The 2025 edition, which marked LIGNA's 50th anniversary, brought together about 1,400 exhibitors and some 78,000 visitors.

Who attends

The show is built for business: according to the organizer, 97 percent of visitors are trade visitors and more than half come from outside Germany, often with concrete investment plans. Talks, daily guided tours and meeting areas complement the exhibition.
