METEC is the international trade fair for metallurgy, held every four years by Messe Düsseldorf as part of "The Bright World of Metals" alongside GIFA, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST. It covers the production chain from raw materials processing and iron and steel making to casting, forming and automation, for metal producers and their equipment suppliers.

GIFA (foundry technology), THERMPROCESS (thermo process technology) and NEWCAST (castings) run in parallel on the same grounds, so visitors can cover the whole metals value chain in one trip.
