About this event

OFC is the world's main meeting point for optical communications and networking. Researchers, network operators, data center and cloud engineers and component suppliers come together for a five-day technical conference and a three-day exhibition covering everything from lasers and fiber to transceivers and network architecture. The 2027 edition returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Exhibition

The exhibition is open 9–11 March 2027, with exhibitor pavilions, an interactive floor plan and a Demo Zone where companies show live products and interoperability demonstrations to buyers from carriers, hyperscalers and equipment makers.

Who organizes it

OFC is managed by Optica and sponsored together with the IEEE Communications Society and the IEEE Photonics Society. A technical committee of researchers and industry experts shapes the programme each year.
