About this event

The Garden Press Event is the first event of the gardening year: a one-day, press-and-media-only show where suppliers of garden products present new and established lines to journalists, broadcasters, writers, bloggers and influencers. Founded in 2006, it is now owned and organised by the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) and GIMA, and is held at the Business Design Centre in Islington.

Who visits

Entry is free but restricted to bona fide editorial press, writers, journalists, influencers, bloggers and vloggers. Past attendees include titles such as Gardeners’ World Magazine, Which? Gardening, The Telegraph, The Times, The Guardian, BBC Local Radio and ITV’s Love Your Garden.

Who exhibits

More than 100 exhibitors, including international brands, use the day to launch products and build media relationships for the season ahead. Exhibitors named for the event include BBC Gardeners’ World Live, Husqvarna UK, the Royal Horticultural Society, Westlands Horticulture, Taylors Bulbs, Evergreen Garden Care, British Garden Centres, Dobbies Garden Centres and Stiga.
