About this event

The World Health Summit is one of the leading international platforms for global health, held every October in Berlin since 2009. The 2026 edition runs under the theme "From Crisis to Resilience: Innovating for Health" and brings ministers, heads of international agencies, scientists, health professionals, private-sector leaders and civil society together to debate how health is financed, governed and delivered. The Summit takes place on site and online.

Programme themes

The 2026 programme features more than 75 sessions and over 400 speakers, structured around six thematic tracks that reflect current challenges in global health.

  • Global health architecture: reshaping financing and governance
  • Pandemic prevention, preparedness and response
  • Health equity for women, children and youth
  • Future-ready health systems: AI, data-driven policy and the health workforce
  • Conflict and health: resilience and rebuilding infrastructure
  • Environmental drivers of health: climate action and One Health

Formats

The main programme mixes keynote sessions on the Center Stage with panel discussions, Global Health Labs and workshops held in parallel rooms across the venue. Side Meetings hosted by partners add smaller, more interactive discussions, and a WHS app helps participants plan their days and connect with peers who share their professional interests.

Who attends

The Summit is built for decision-makers across sectors: government ministers and officials, leaders of international organizations such as WHO, UNFPA and Africa CDC, researchers and academic institutions, healthcare workers, foundations and philanthropy, and private-sector companies from pharmaceuticals, medical technology and digital health. Organizers expect more than 4,000 participants on site in Berlin and over 40,000 online.

Confirmed voices

Among the first speakers announced for 2026 are Germany's Minister of Health Nina Warken, Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Reem Alabali Radovan, Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, Africa CDC Director-General Jean Kaseya, UNFPA Executive Director Diene Keita, Royal Philips CEO Roy Jakobs and Gavi board chair Helen Clark.
