By the atndr teamPublished 6 min read

The short answer

Bangkok's main business events in 2026–27 are ASEAN-wide trade shows: METALEX (18–21 November 2026), VIV Asia (10–12 March 2027), Money20/20 Asia (27–29 April), THAIFEX – Anuga Asia (25–29 May), ProPak Asia (9–12 June) and Manufacturing Expo (16–19 June). They run at BITEC in Bang Na, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani or QSNCC in the city centre. Manufacturing, food and packaging dominate, and most shows are free for registered trade visitors.

Key takeaways

  • The busiest stretch runs from March to June 2027, with a second cluster in late August and September.
  • Bangkok is ASEAN's manufacturing show hub: METALEX, INTERMACH, Manufacturing Expo and ProPak Asia all draw buyers from across Southeast Asia.
  • Check the venue first: BITEC is in Bang Na in the south-east, IMPACT is north of the city in Nonthaburi, and QSNCC is central.
  • Most trade shows are free with online pre-registration; Money20/20 Asia is a paid conference with passes from USD 299 at launch rates.
  • Several shows admit trade visitors only, require business attire and refuse under-15s or under-18s.

Which Bangkok events are worth attending, by industry?

Bangkok's shows serve the whole ASEAN market, so pick by sector: each one is where that industry's regional buyers and suppliers meet.

Manufacturing and machinery

METALEX 2026 (18–21 November, BITEC) is the 40th-anniversary edition of ASEAN's machine tool and metalworking show. The organiser expects 3,000+ brands from 50 countries and 100,000+ professionals. INTERMACH 2027 (12–15 May, BITEC Halls 100–104) covers sheet metal, machine tools, welding and automation, with SUBCON Thailand (co-organised with the Thailand Board of Investment) for buyers sourcing subcontracted parts. Manufacturing Expo 2027 (16–19 June, BITEC) groups seven shows on plastics, moulds, auto parts, robotics, electronics and coatings. Specialists have wire & Tube Southeast Asia (biennial, 15–17 September) and the Asia Pacific Coatings Show (1–3 September).

Food, packaging and agriculture

THAIFEX – Anuga Asia (25–29 May, IMPACT) is Koelnmesse's food and beverage show for exporters, importers and retail buyers. ProPak Asia (9–12 June, IMPACT Challenger Halls 1–3) splits processing and packaging into nine zones, from DrinkTechAsia to PharmaTechAsia. VIV Asia (10–12 March, IMPACT) covers feed to food for livestock and aquaculture, and Fi Asia Thailand (1–3 September, QSNCC) is the ingredients show, with 23,000+ attendees expected.

Finance, energy and services

Money20/20 Asia (27–29 April, QSNCC) is the fintech meeting for banks, payment firms and regulators across Asia-Pacific. ASIA Sustainable Energy Week (7–9 July, QSNCC) combines renewables, efficiency and storage shows and is endorsed by Thailand's Ministry of Energy. IBTM Asia Pacific (9–10 June, BITEC) is RX's new marketplace for event planners and destinations.

Building, healthcare and logistics

Architect'27 (27 April–2 May, IMPACT) is the 39th ASA Architect Expo, with 1,000+ exhibitors expected. ARHC 2027 covers HVAC and cleanrooms, MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND (12th edition) hospital and diagnostic equipment, and TILOG-LOGISTIX warehousing and material handling.

Where are Bangkok's exhibition venues?

Three venues host every event above, and they are far apart. Book your hotel by venue, not by neighbourhood reputation.

Venue Area Events on atndr Getting there
BITEC 88 Debaratna Road, Bang Na, south-east Bangkok METALEX, INTERMACH, Manufacturing Expo, IBTM Asia Pacific, TILOG-LOGISTIX, Coatings Show, MEDICAL FAIR, wire & Tube BTS Sukhumvit line to Bang Na
IMPACT Muang Thong Thani Nonthaburi, north of the city VIV Asia, ARHC, Architect'27, THAIFEX – Anuga Asia, ProPak Asia MRT Pink Line to Muang Thong Thani, or shuttles; about 15 minutes by taxi from Don Mueang airport

IMPACT's own guide puts Don Mueang airport about 15 minutes away by taxi and Suvarnabhumi about 45 minutes. For ProPak Asia, the organiser points visitors to the Pink Line extension's IMPACT Muang Thong Thani station, whose Exit 3 leads to the Challenger Halls. Architect'27 runs shuttles from Mo Chit and Rama 9.

If you are staying downtown for a show at IMPACT, allow for heavy traffic on the way north.

How do you register for a Bangkok trade show?

Pre-register online on the official site: it is free for trade visitors at almost every Bangkok show and gets you a badge without queuing.

  • METALEX and Manufacturing Expo (RX BITEC) are for trade visitors only, in business attire; under-15s are not admitted. METALEX offers group pre-registration for three or more people from one company.
  • Asia Pacific Coatings Show is free for industry professionals; under-18s are not admitted.
  • Architect'27 lists free admission with online pre-registration and is open 10:00 to 20:00 for six days.
  • Money20/20 Asia is paid: at launch rates, a Qualifying Country Pass was USD 299 and a Standard Pass USD 599, with prices rising closer to the event.
  • Fi Asia Thailand, THAIFEX – Anuga Asia and IBTM Asia Pacific were still taking registrations of interest when atndr last checked; visitor registration opens nearer the date.

Most shows open 10:00 to 18:00. Foreign visitors should check Thailand's entry rules for their passport, including the online Thailand Digital Arrival Card filed before arrival on the immigration bureau's site.

How do you make the most of a Bangkok trade show?

Use the matchmaking tools and plan around co-located shows.

  1. Book meetings before you fly. TILOG-LOGISTIX runs the free Meet My Match service, Manufacturing Expo and MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND offer business matching, and VIV Asia has a hosted buyer programme.
  2. Cover several shows in one hall. INTERMACH runs with SUBCON Thailand, Plastics & Rubber Thailand and the iAR automation zone. ProPak Asia runs with ASEAN Paper Bangkok and LOUPE Southeast Asia. wire & Tube Southeast Asia is co-located with GIFA and METEC Southeast Asia in 2027.
  3. Stack the weeks. ProPak Asia (9–12 June) and Manufacturing Expo (16–19 June) are a week apart; Fi Asia Thailand and the Asia Pacific Coatings Show both run 1–3 September, at different venues.
  4. Check the frequency. wire & Tube Southeast Asia is biennial, and IBTM Asia Pacific is a new event in 2027.
  5. Dress for business. RX BITEC shows enforce business attire on the floor.
