About this event

The Africa Cementrade Summit is CMT's annual meeting point for Africa's cement producers, traders, technology suppliers and financiers. Its 15th edition moves to Casablanca after the 2025 summit in Accra, and puts Morocco's cement groups alongside producers from across the continent to discuss capacity growth, decarbonisation and the trade rules reshaping exports to Europe.

What's on the agenda

The two-day programme is organised around the business and technical questions facing African cement makers.

Growth and investment: market outlook and capacity expansion
Digitalisation and AI in cement plants
Low-carbon production: alternative fuels, waste heat recovery, CO2 capture, LC3 and calcined clay
CBAM and global cement trade
Financing the transition
Industrial reality: taking projects from pilot to full scale

Producers and partners

The organiser expects presentations from producers including CIMAT/CIMAF, Ciments du Maroc, Cimpor, Yeshi Group and Sococim. CIMAT/CIMAF is gold sponsor, with PENTOL and Wacker as silver sponsors and an exhibition of equipment and additive suppliers alongside the conference.

Who attends

Cement and clinker producers, traders and shippers, plant equipment and technology vendors, chemical and grinding-aid suppliers, consultants and investors working on Africa's building-materials sector.
