54th Annual Conference of the Jordanian Society of Surgeons (JSS 2026)

The 54th Annual Conference of the Jordanian Society of Surgeons (JSS) runs together with the 14th Conference of Surgical Specialty of Jordan's Ministry of Health and the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO). Under the theme "Precision Surgery: From Evidence to Practice", it brings surgeons from Jordan, the Arab world and Europe to the InterContinental Amman for three days of lectures, live surgery, hands-on courses and specialty sessions.

The programme spans general surgery and its subspecialties, with sessions on safety, training, medico-legal issues and healthcare economics alongside the clinical tracks.

Special sessions

This edition adds a Women Surgeons Session, a session on minimally invasive liver transplantation, an inflammatory bowel disease session, a medical students session, a nursing day and live surgery transmission, including a live broadcast from colleagues in Gaza.

Hands-on workshops

Pre-conference and in-congress courses at the InterContinental are limited to 20 candidates each. They include a Basic Laparoscopic Skills (BLS) course on 21 October, and a Pelvic Floor Disorders course and a Meta-Analysis course on 22 October.
