Business of IP Asia Forum 2026

The Business of IP Asia Forum (BIP Asia) is jointly organised by the Government of the Hong Kong SAR and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Now in its 16th edition, it brings IP users, owners, investors, professionals and business leaders from around the world to discuss developments in intellectual property and explore business collaboration. It is part of Hong Kong's Innovation & IP Week.

2026 programme

The two-day programme runs at the Main Forum in Halls 1B-C and combines plenaries, breakout sessions and business matching. The opening session features the Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong SAR and leaders from China's patent and copyright administrations and WIPO.

Format

The forum is held in person at the HKCEC in English with simultaneous interpretation in Putonghua, supplemented by one month of on-demand videos. CPD accreditation has been applied for with several professional bodies, including the Law Society of Hong Kong and ACCA Hong Kong.
