About this event
The Deutscher Kongress für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie (DKOU) is the annual congress of Germany's orthopaedic and trauma surgery societies DGOU, DGOOC, DGU and BVOU, and one of Europe's largest meetings in the field. The 2026 edition runs under the motto "Neue Wege gehen" (taking new paths), led by congress presidents Prof. Dr. Frank Hildebrand, Dr. Jörn Dohle and Dr. Wolfgang Böker.
Programme
Scientific sessions across 13 lecture halls, plus 22 academies offering courses and seminars for continuing education.
Who attends
Orthopaedic and trauma surgeons, residents, physiotherapists, nursing and medical assistant staff, researchers and industry. The organizer expects more than 8,000 participants from over 50 nations.
Industry exhibition
Around 200 companies exhibit on some 5,000 square metres, showing implants, instruments, imaging and rehabilitation products.
