European Health Summit 2026

The European Health Summit (EHS) is a neutral, independent platform run by the European Business Summit that brings health ministers, EU officials, regulators, industry and patient voices together in Brussels. Its aim is better decision-making on the challenges facing Europe's health systems, through open debate on the trade-offs between health policy, economic reality and societal values.

2026 priority themes

Each year the summit focuses on a set of priority themes that reflect the most pressing challenges for European health systems. For 2026 these are:

• Health as Europe's strategic economic engine
• The Biotech Act and innovation leadership
• AI, data and digital infrastructure for health
• Geopolitics, trade and health security

Who attends

Health and industry ministers, European Commission directorates such as DG SANTE and DG HERA, the European Medicines Agency, national regulators, pharmaceutical, biotech and medtech companies, payers, researchers and patient organisations. The format is built around plenary debates and panels that bring public, private and societal perspectives into one room.

Format

The two-day summit takes place at the Résidence Palace in Brussels' European Quarter, next to the EU institutions. The programme and registration are published on the summit's programme page as speakers are confirmed.
