About this event

The European Shipping Summit is the flagship policy event of the European Community Shipowners' Associations (ECSA), the voice of Europe's shipowners in Brussels. The 2027 edition brings European and international policymakers, regulators and industry stakeholders together for two days of high-level dialogue on the challenges and opportunities facing European shipping.

Programme

The two-day programme comprises 12 industry sessions plus networking breaks and high-level dialogues, organised around the summit's three pillars.

  • Environment: decarbonisation and the energy transition of shipping
  • People: seafarers, skills and the maritime workforce
  • Industry: competitiveness and the EU maritime policy framework

Who attends

Shipowners and operators, national shipowners' associations, EU institutions and member-state officials, international regulators, ports, financiers and maritime service providers. The speaker line-up for 2027 is being confirmed by the organiser and will be published on the summit website.

Venue

The summit is held at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium on the Rue de la Régence in central Brussels, a short walk from the city's Mont des Arts and Sablon districts.
