Future Minerals Forum 2027

The Future Minerals Forum (FMF) returns to Riyadh for its 2027 edition, hosted by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources. Positioned as a platform for collaboration rather than just a conference or trade show, FMF gathers governments, mining companies, investors and development institutions to tackle the minerals sector's hardest problems: securing critical minerals, closing funding and talent gaps, speeding up project approvals and unlocking investment across Africa, Western Asia and Central Asia. It is also where Saudi Arabia pitches its ambition to become a global minerals hub.

FMF is a government-led platform that brings ministers and policymakers together with mining producers, investors, development institutions, multilateral organisations and technology providers from both mineral-supplying and mineral-consuming countries. Formats across the three days

Alongside plenary sessions in the Auditorium, the agenda runs parallel investment and innovation tracks, country showcases, the Saudi Minerals Hub with investor matchmaking and a Start-Up Derby, leadership roundtables, a meeting of international geological surveys and the Ministerial Roundtable dinner. The exhibition and Excellence Hub are open all day on every day, and national governments can host a dedicated Country Pavilion.

Key figures from FMF 2026

The fifth edition in January 2026 drew 21,500 participants, more than 450 speakers, 274 exhibitors and 13 official country pavilions, and saw 132 agreements and MoUs worth SAR 100 billion signed, according to the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.
