Education Day on Wednesday, August 18 runs from the morning Retailer Playbook Lab (8:30 am) to the end of Industry Day (5:00 pm). The exhibit hall is open Thursday, August 19, 10 am to 6 pm, and Friday, August 20, 10 am to 3 pm.

How much does it cost to attend?

Qualified retail buyers, importers and distributors attend free pre-show ($40 onsite from August 18). Working media is free. Non-buyers, non-exhibiting manufacturers, independent reps and event organizers pay $1,000 early bird (April 20 to June 30), $1,100 pre-show and $1,200 onsite.

Is Outdoor Retailer open to the public?

No. Only authorised buyers and members of the trade are admitted, and attendees must meet the credential requirements.

About This Event

Outdoor Retailer 2027 is a Lifestyle & Tourism event taking place 18-20 Aug 2027 at Minneapolis Convention Center, Minneapolis, United States.

Outdoor Retailer has connected the outdoor industry since 1982. After moving to Minneapolis and an August slot in 2026, the show was rebuilt around brand discovery for independent specialty retailers, hands-on retail education and Wild Reach, a creator programme that takes products to outdoor consumers. The 2027 edition returns to the Minneapolis Convention Center with an education day followed by two exhibit hall days. It is trade-only.

On the show floor

The floor is organised into themed neighbourhoods, with the GGG + Founded Outdoors Campsite Pavilion for emerging brands, state pavilions and The Camp, which brings keynotes onto the show floor. On-site education is free with a show badge.

Only authorised buyers and members of the trade are admitted: specialty retail buyers, importers and distributors, independent reps, working media and content creators, alongside exhibiting brands.

Key figures (2026)

The 2026 Minneapolis debut drew 1,800+ attendees, 275+ brands, 400+ qualified retailers and 150+ creators and media from 45 states and 20 countries. Wild Reach creators reached a combined audience of 21.2 million, and 573 people attended Industry Day.
