How much is the congress fee?

Early bird (until 30 June 2027) is RM3,000 for Malaysians or USD1,200 for non-Malaysians; standard (1 July to 31 October 2027) is RM3,500 or USD1,400; from 1 November it is RM3,700 or USD1,500. Fees include the book of abstracts, refreshments, lunches and the congress dinner.

When is the abstract deadline?

Abstracts for oral or poster presentations are due by 1 May 2027, with notification of acceptance on 1 June 2027.

What is the cancellation policy?

A full refund is given for written cancellations received before 1 August 2027; no refunds after that date.

About this event

PIPOC, the MPOB International Palm Oil Congress and Exhibition, is the leading global meeting of the oil palm industry, organised by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board under Malaysia's Ministry of Plantation and Commodities. The 2027 edition, themed Thriving Beyond Global Uncertainty, combines four concurrent conferences with the largest oil palm exhibition at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Four concurrent conferences

The congress programme is split into four tracks, each with its own call for papers and posters.

Agriculture, Biotechnology and Sustainability (ABS): breeding, soil and crop management, pest control, smallholder productivity
Milling, Processing and Biorefinery (MPB): milling and refining technology, safety, biomass and renewable energy
Downstream and Value Addition (DVA): oleochemicals, surfactants, bio-based polymers, food and feed applications
Global Economics and Marketing (GEM): market outlook, trade, regulation and the global oils and fats landscape

Exhibition and side events

The exhibition is planned at more than 3,600 square metres with over 400 booths of technologies, products and services for the palm oil value chain. Participants can also join technical tours to plantations, palm oil mills, refineries and R&D facilities, a golf tournament and the first International Sawit Run.

Who attends

Planters, millers, refiners, oleochemical producers, researchers, economists, traders, policymakers and equipment suppliers. MPOB expects more than 2,000 participants, 100 speakers and 180 poster presenters.
