Bahrain International Airshow 2028

The Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) is a boutique aerospace and defence trade show held every two years at Sakhir Air Base since its first edition in January 2010. It gives aerospace companies access to high-level civil and military delegations from across the Gulf and beyond, with an exhibition hall, corporate chalets on the flight line and static and flying displays. The 8th edition, first planned for 18-20 November 2026, has been rescheduled by the organisers to 15-17 November 2028.

Who attends

Aerospace manufacturers, airlines, airports, defence companies, suppliers and space businesses, together with civil and military delegations and VIP visitors looking for new business in the Gulf region. Trade visitors attend on trade passes; the show also has public ticketing.

Exhibition and displays

The show is spread across Sakhir Air Base, with exhibitors able to take space indoors, outdoors or on the flight line.

• Corporate chalets overlooking the static aircraft park, parallel to the runway
• Outdoor exhibition space for large equipment and aircraft
• Static aircraft park and flying display with military jets, aerobatic teams and commercial aircraft

Previous editions ran a conference programme across four forums: Airlines & Airports, Defence, Space, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. The 2028 programme has not been published yet.

Key figures

BIAS 2024, held 13-15 November 2024, was the largest edition so far, with more than 57,000 trade visitors from 83 countries and 226 civil and military delegations over three days. In 2022 the show recorded $1.85bn in deals agreed.
