Bologna Children's Book Fair 2027

The Bologna Children's Book Fair (BCBF) is the world's leading trade fair for children's publishing and a global marketplace for copyright, held every spring at BolognaFiere. The 64th edition in April 2027 brings publishers, literary agents, illustrators, authors, translators, licensors, producers and developers together to trade rights, discover talent and build partnerships, with Poland as Guest of Honour.

Three fairs in one

BCBF is the core of a three-in-one event for publishing rights, licensing and transmedia.

• Bologna Children's Book Fair, for children's books and content
• BolognaBookPlus (BBPlus), for general trade adult publishing, in partnership with AIE - Italian Publishers Association
• Bologna Licensing Trade Fair/Kids (BLTF/Kids), for licensing brands and properties for children, teens and young adults

Who attends

Publishers, illustrators, graphic designers, literary agents, authors, translators, developers, licensors and licensees, packagers, printers, distributors, audiobook professionals, booksellers, brands, librarians and teachers. The Illustrators Exhibition and the BolognaRagazzi Awards are long-standing pillars of the fair.

Guest of Honour 2027

Poland is the 2027 Guest of Honour, with a programme of exhibitions and events at both BCBF and BolognaBookPlus and a presence across the city of Bologna. The fair is organised with the support of ITA - Italian Trade Agency and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
