DIVI26 - Congress of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine

DIVI26 is the 26th annual congress of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (Deutsche Interdisziplinäre Vereinigung für Intensiv- und Notfallmedizin, DIVI e.V.), held at the CCH – Congress Center Hamburg. Under the motto 'Der Mensch im Mittelpunkt' (people at the centre), the 2026 congress asks how intensive and emergency care can keep patient dignity and the wellbeing of care teams at its core amid rapid medical and technological change.

Themes for 2026

Congress presidents Prof. Dr. Uwe Janssens and Rolf Dubb have framed the programme around the tension between innovation and humane care.

Who attends

The congress is interdisciplinary and interprofessional: intensive care and emergency physicians from all specialties, critical care and emergency nurses, therapists and other members of the intensive care team, as well as industry partners exhibiting at the congress. The programme is in German.

Around the congress

A public citizens' forum takes place on 30 November 2026 at the Haus der Patriotischen Gesellschaft, the congress party is on 3 December, and recorded DIVI26 sessions become available on demand from 8 December 2026. DIVI27, marking 50 years of DIVI, is scheduled for 1 to 3 December 2027 at the CCH.
