IDS 2027 - International Dental Show

IDS (Internationale Dental-Schau) is the global lead trade fair of the dental industry, held every two years in Cologne. It is organised by GFDI, the business arm of the German dental industry association VDDI, and run by Koelnmesse. The 2027 edition again brings together manufacturers, importers and service providers with dental dealers, dentists, practice teams and dental technicians from around the world.

The fair covers the full dental value chain across halls 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 and 11 of the Cologne exhibition grounds.

Who attends

Admission is for trade visitors only. The target audience includes the dental trade, dentists and practice staff, dental technicians and laboratories, industry, service providers, research and development, plus trainees and students in the field.

Key figures (2025)

The 2025 edition reported 2,010 exhibitors from 61 countries on 180,000 square metres of gross exhibition space in seven halls, and 135,267 visitors from 156 countries.

Events on site

Besides the exhibition, IDS runs an events programme on the fairground, including the Speakers' Corner where exhibitors present products and topics. Visa support, travel and accommodation services are available through the official site.
