Technology events in Saudi Arabia: how to choose the right one in 2026–27

Saudi Arabia's technology events cluster in Riyadh between October and April. On atndr's calendar for the 2026–27 season, almost every upcoming technology listing is in the capital. The busiest stretch is November and early December 2026. The single biggest event, LEAP 2027, comes later, in April 2027.

The table lists the upcoming technology and tech-adjacent events on atndr. Dates are the 2026–27 editions; confirm them on the organizer's site before you book travel.

Outside Riyadh the choice is thin. Jeddah has a few business conferences with a technology track, such as the Workforce Strategy & Leadership Conference 2026 on 22 October 2026. The full, always-current list is on atndr's technology events in Saudi Arabia page.

Two events set the calendar: LEAP 2027 for the whole technology industry and Black Hat MEA 2026 for cybersecurity. Around them sit specialist events that serve one buyer group each. Pick by audience first, then by date.

LEAP: the broad technology show

LEAP runs 12–15 April 2027 at Malham. DeepFest 2027, an AI event now in its fourth edition, runs alongside it, and a LEAP pass covers both stages. The organizer's site cites more than 200,000 attendees, 1,800 technology brands and 600 startups; these are the organizer's own headline figures. It is the event for meeting many suppliers, investors and government entities in one trip.

Black Hat MEA: cybersecurity

Black Hat MEA runs 1–3 December 2026, also at Malham. The organizer's site cites more than 40,000 attendees. It combines an exhibition, technical briefings, the Arsenal tool demos, capture-the-flag competitions and paid training courses. The Global Cybersecurity Forum is a different kind of event: a government-backed policy meeting whose 2024 and 2025 annual meetings were held in Riyadh in early October. Infrastructure, telecoms and payments

Hyperscale Live KSA 2026 and Connected World KSA 2026 are co-located at Riyadh Front on 9–10 November 2026. Hyperscale covers the physical side of AI: data centre design, GPU capacity, power and cooling. Connected World covers the networks that move data. Seamless Saudi Arabia 2026 runs on the same dates at the same venue and covers digital commerce and payments. One badge day can cover all three. For data centres there is a second date: DCN Riyadh 2027 is a one-day conference and expo on 27 January 2027. The 2026 edition drew 1,000+ attendees, 105 speakers and 106 sponsors, according to the organizer.

Sector technology

Several events apply technology to one industry. Global Health Exhibition 2026 and Digital Health Evening 2026 cover health technology. Intersec Saudi Arabia 2026 covers security hardware, safety and fire protection. Climatech 2026 covers climate technology, and the Global Airports Forum covers airports. MOVE Riyadh 2026 (23–25 November 2026, Riyadh Front), formerly Mobility Live Saudi, covers vehicles, EV charging and public transport, with a free exhibition of 250+ exhibitors expected. Choose an exhibition if you want to compare suppliers, and a conference if you want the programme and the people in the room. In Saudi technology events the two often share a badge, but one format still dominates the day.

• Exhibition (expo). A show floor of vendors. Best for buying technology, scouting partners and generating leads. Entry is often free or cheap for trade visitors, meaning industry professionals who register in advance.
• Conference or summit. A speaker programme, usually with a smaller audience. Best for learning where the market is going and meeting senior people. Paid delegate passes are common.
• Hybrid flagship. LEAP and Black Hat MEA combine both. The free or entry pass gets you onto the floor; paid tiers add lounges, pre-booked meetings, training or reserved seating.
• Executive or invite-only formats. Hotel-based summits and evening events for a defined audience. Some admit only approved applicants, such as senior executives on a guest-buyer programme.

A large event is not automatically the more useful one. A two-day specialist event where every attendee is a buyer in your niche can produce more meetings than a four-day flagship.

Entry to the show floor is often free or low-cost; the price rises with networking and conference access. The figures below were on the official ticket pages in late September 2026. Prices change in phases, so check before you buy.

LEAP's General Pass includes the exhibition and the conference stages of LEAP and DeepFest. Black Hat MEA's Expo Pass includes the exhibition, the networking app and briefings. Hyperscale Live also offers an application-only guest pass for C-level executives, subject to the organizer's approval.

Black Hat MEA states that its tickets are non-refundable, though a transfer may be possible. Read the refund terms of any event before you pay, and budget separately for flights and hotels. Hotels near the venues fill early in the busiest weeks.

Start from the result you need from the trip, then check the evidence. Use these criteria in order:

1. Your objective. Buying technology: favour an exhibition with a published exhibitor list and several competing suppliers. Finding customers: read the sponsorship pack for attendee job roles and industries, not the headline attendance. Learning: check the agenda for technical depth and independent speakers. Fundraising: look for a real investor or startup programme with an application process.
2. The audience. Check who the organizer says attends. Hyperscale Live, for example, lists data centre operators, hyperscalers, carriers and enterprise IT leaders.
3. The track record. A recurring event should have a previous agenda, speaker archive, exhibitor list or recordings.
4. What the pass includes. Check whether your badge covers the conference stages or only the show floor, and whether meetings are pre-arranged or left to chance.
5. The week around it. Co-located events share a venue and dates. The week of 9–10 November 2026 at Riyadh Front brings data centres, telecoms and payments together, and LEAP shares its dates and venue with DeepFest.
6. Logistics. Confirm the venue on the official site. Malham, which hosts LEAP and Black Hat MEA, is outside central Riyadh; Black Hat MEA lists a shuttle bus from the SAB metro station.
