About this event

Quantum Effects is Messe Stuttgart's exhibition, conference and matchmaking event for quantum technologies, built as a bridge between basic research and industrial applications. Industrial users, start-ups, researchers and technology providers meet over three focus areas: quantum computing, quantum sensing and quantum communication. The 2026 edition follows a 2025 show that drew 2,500 participants.

Programme

Stage talks, practice-oriented panels and workshops cover commercialisation, financing and the political and regulatory framework for quantum technology.

Theme parks and networking

Quantum Effects shares the Stuttgart exhibition centre with other technology shows in October 2026, including VISION (machine vision), EFX (electronics manufacturing) and Motek (production and assembly automation). One ticket gives access to all of them.

Quantum Effects 2026, the trade fair and conference for quantum technologies, took place on 6 and 7 October at Messe Stuttgart, organized by Landesmesse Stuttgart. It ran alongside VISION, Motek, Bondexpo and EFX on a shared ticket, and the 3rd Biointelligence Congress next door included a quantum-for-health tour of the exhibition. The Quantum Effects Award 2026 went to C12 and Thales for quantum computing hardware, Fraunhofer FOKUS for its open-source Eclipse Qrisp framework in software, QSENSATO for the CODA magnetometer array in quantum sensing and PicoQuant for the HydraHarp 500 L time-tagging unit in quantum communication.
