Technology events in Saudi Arabia: how to choose the right one in 2026–27
Saudi Arabia's 2026–27 technology event calendar, who each event is for, what passes cost, and how to pick the one worth the trip.
By the atndr teamUpdated 9 min read

The short answer
The technology events that matter in Saudi Arabia in 2026–27 are LEAP (12–15 April 2027) for the broad tech industry and Black Hat MEA (1–3 December 2026) for cybersecurity, both at Malham in Riyadh. Specialist buyers have narrower options: Hyperscale Live KSA for data centres and Connected World KSA for telecoms (9–10 November 2026), and Money20/20 Middle East for fintech (September 2027). Choose by audience and objective, not size.

What changed in the 17 October organizer checks?
Data centres or networks? Hyperscale Live KSA and Connected World KSA both list 9–10 November 2026 at Riyadh Front. Hyperscale fits data-centre infrastructure; Connected World fits connectivity and telecoms. Their booking pages list US$100 expo-only and US$3,000 premium networking passes, with taxes extra. Guest admission requires organizer approval.
Cybersecurity: Black Hat MEA lists a free Expo Pass, US$349 Gold and US$2,499 Black at this check. Compare the training and networking inclusions before upgrading; prices may change.
Payments and commerce: Seamless Saudi Arabia still advertises 9–10 November 2026. Treat its admission separately from the neighbouring shows.
Check before booking: Saudi Makes Future’s retained December 2026 dates below were not reconfirmed in this check. Ask the organizer before committing travel for that listing.
These are targeted checks of the named events, not a new verification of every entry in the calendar below.

LEAP: the broad technology show
LEAP runs 12–15 April 2027 at Malham. DeepFest 2027, its AI event, runs alongside it, and a LEAP pass covers both stages. The ticket page cites 175,000+ attendees, the organizer's own figure. It is the event for meeting many suppliers, investors and government entities in one trip.
Black Hat MEA: cybersecurity
Black Hat MEA runs 1–3 December 2026, also at Malham. The organizer cites 40,000+ in attendance. It combines an exhibition, briefings, the Arsenal tool demos, capture-the-flag competitions and paid training courses. The Global Cybersecurity Forum is a different kind of event: a government-backed policy meeting, not a trade show. Check its official site for the next edition.
Data, AI and infrastructure
Hyperscale Live KSA 2026 and Connected World KSA 2026 are co-located at Riyadh Front on 9–10 November 2026. Hyperscale covers the physical side of AI: data centre design, GPU capacity, power and cooling. Connected World covers the networks that move data. Seamless Saudi Arabia 2026 runs on the same dates at the same venue and covers digital commerce and payments. Check each event’s badge separately: a shared date and venue does not establish shared admission. The same week, Riyadh hosts the United Nations World Data Forum 2026, the sixth edition of the UN forum, hosted by the General Authority for Statistics on 9–12 November 2026. Saudi Makes Future 2026 brings We Make Future, an AI and innovation event born in Bologna, to RICEC on 14–16 December 2026. For data centres there is a second date: DCN Riyadh 2027, a one-day conference and expo on 27 January 2027.
Sector technology
Several events apply technology to one industry. SADEX 2026, at RICEC on 9–11 November 2026, covers drones and uncrewed aircraft systems. Intersec Saudi Arabia 2026 covers security hardware, safety and fire protection. MOVE Riyadh 2026 (23–25 November 2026, Riyadh Front) covers vehicles, EV charging and public transport, with a free exhibition of 250+ exhibitors expected. Global Health Exhibition 2026 and MedTech Saudi 2026 cover health technology, and Smart Cities Saudi Expo 2027, rescheduled to 8–10 June 2027, covers smart-city technology. For fintech, Money20/20 Middle East 2027 returns to Malham on 14–16 September 2027.
Conference or exhibition: which format should you pick?
Choose an exhibition if you want to compare suppliers, and a conference if you want the programme and the people in the room. In Saudi technology events the two often share a badge, but one format still dominates the day.
- Exhibition (expo). A show floor of vendors. Best for buying technology, scouting partners and generating leads. Entry is often free or cheap for trade visitors, meaning industry professionals who register in advance.
- Conference or summit. A speaker programme, usually with a smaller audience. Best for learning where the market is going and meeting senior people. Paid delegate passes are common.
- Hybrid flagship. LEAP and Black Hat MEA combine both. The free or entry pass gets you onto the floor; paid tiers add lounges, pre-booked meetings, training or reserved seating.
- Executive or invite-only formats. Hotel-based summits for a defined audience. Some admit only approved applicants, such as senior executives on a guest-buyer programme.
A large event is not automatically the more useful one. A two-day specialist event where every attendee is a buyer in your niche can produce more meetings than a four-day flagship.
What do technology events in Saudi Arabia cost to attend?
Entry to the show floor is often free or low-cost; the price rises with networking and conference access. The figures below were on the official ticket pages on 13 October 2026. Prices change in phases, so check before you buy.
| Event | Entry pass | Mid tier | Top tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| LEAP 2027 | General Pass: free during early-bird pricing, then US$50 (188 SAR) | Priority Pass: US$400 early bird, US$800 standard | VIP Pass: US$2,800 early bird, US$3,500 standard |
| Black Hat MEA 2026 | Expo Pass: free | Gold: US$349, rising to US$399 | Black (includes one training course): US$2,499, rising to US$3,099 |
| Hyperscale Live KSA 2026 | Expo only: US$100 | — | Premium Networking Pass: US$3,000 |
LEAP's General Pass includes the exhibition and the conference stages of LEAP and DeepFest. Black Hat MEA's Expo Pass includes the exhibition, the networking app, briefings and a shuttle bus from the SAB metro station. Hyperscale Live also offers an application-only guest pass for C-level executives, subject to the organizer's approval.
Read the refund terms of any event before you pay, and budget separately for flights and hotels. Hotels near the venues fill early in the busiest weeks.
How do you choose the right technology event?
Start from the result you need from the trip, then check the evidence. Use these criteria in order:
- Your objective. Buying technology: favour an exhibition with a published exhibitor list and several competing suppliers. Finding customers: read the sponsorship pack for attendee job roles, not the headline attendance. Learning: check the agenda for technical depth. Fundraising: look for a real investor or startup programme.
- The audience. Check who the organizer says attends. Hyperscale Live, for example, lists data centre operators, hyperscalers, carriers and enterprise IT leaders.
- The track record. A recurring event should have a previous agenda, speaker archive or exhibitor list.
- What the pass includes. Check whether your badge covers the conference stages or only the show floor, and whether meetings are pre-arranged.
- The week around it. The week of 9–12 November 2026 brings data centres, telecoms, payments, drones and the UN World Data Forum to Riyadh. Mid-December 2026 adds AI, medical technology and smart grids. LEAP shares its dates and venue with DeepFest.
- Logistics. Confirm the venue on the official site. Malham, which hosts LEAP, Black Hat MEA and Money20/20, is outside central Riyadh.
Confirm the current dates and venue on the organizer's official page before booking non-refundable travel. For a wider Gulf view, see the top technology events in the Gulf and the technology events in the UAE guides.
