Barcelona Deep Tech Summit 2026

Barcelona Deep Tech Summit is a three-day gathering organised by Barcelona Activa, held within Smart City Expo World Congress at Fira Barcelona Gran Via. It connects European deep tech startups, research centres, corporations, investors and institutions to accelerate the market adoption of science-based technologies, combining a conference with exhibition space and one-to-one business meetings.

Three tracks

The 2026 programme is organised around three themes.

• Augmented Human: deep tech for health, robotics and space
• Deep Intelligence: the infrastructure, governance and capital of Europe's AI era
• Corporate Frontier: how large European companies collaborate on deep tech

Formats

More than 80 speakers, over 100 startups exhibiting and more than 180 pre-arranged B2B meetings between startups, corporates, investors and research centres.

Part of Smart City Expo

The summit runs inside Smart City Expo World Congress, which gathers more than 25,000 attendees and over 1,150 exhibitors from more than 130 countries, so a free registration also opens the wider congress floor.
