care:xpo 2027

care:xpo is the new name of ALTENPFLEGE, for decades the leading German-language trade fair for the care sector. The 2027 edition in Nuremberg combines an exhibition of products and services for inpatient and outpatient care with a specialist congress, giving care home operators, managers and care professionals three days of products, practice and discussion.

Programme

Themed forums run alongside the exhibition: Forum Digital & Innovation, Forum Catering, Housekeeping & Living, and the Care Perspectives Forum for care professionals, plus the ARENA main stage with talks and live formats. Around 50 newcomers and young companies show solutions at AVENEO, with the Newcomer Challenge finalists presented live.

Congress

A specialist congress organised by Vincentz Network takes place under the same roof, covering topics such as digitalisation, staffing, personnel development, care economics, quality of care and housing. Day and season congress tickets include entry to the exhibition.

Key figures

The last ALTENPFLEGE, held in Essen from 21 to 23 April 2026, drew 18,000 trade visitors and 500 exhibitors from 16 countries on 14,500 square metres. The fair alternates annually between Nuremberg and Essen.
