IBC2027

IBC (International Broadcasting Convention) is one of the world's largest gatherings for the media, entertainment and technology industry, held every September at RAI Amsterdam. It combines a large exhibition of broadcast, production, streaming and media-tech vendors with a conference and free show-floor content, and is owned and run by six industry bodies rather than a commercial organiser.

Broadcasters, streamers, production companies, technology vendors, engineers and media executives from around the world. The 2026 edition welcomed 41,225 attendees from 170 countries and more than 1,300 exhibitors.

Exhibition and content

Exhibitors fill the halls of RAI Amsterdam with space-only and shell stands, alongside dedicated zones such as Future Tech and Content Everywhere. The content side includes the IBC Conference, technical papers, the IBC Innovation Awards, a features programme, show-floor stages and a student and talent programme.

Who runs IBC

IBC was founded in 1967 and is owned by the IBC Partnership of industry bodies, including IEEE BTS, the IET, SCTE, SMPTE and the Royal Television Society. These owners also run free sessions at the show on standards, business transformation and broadcast infrastructure.
