API China, the China International Pharmaceutical API, Intermediates, Packaging and Equipment Fair, has served the Chinese pharmaceutical market for more than 40 years and is a key entry point for global suppliers selling into China's drug makers. Organized by Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, it covers the whole chain from drug R&D to commercial production, and its autumn 2026 edition, the 95th, takes place in Wuhan alongside the co-located SINOPHEX, PHARMEX and PHARMPACK shows.

More than 30 conferences and forums run during API China, organized with industry bodies such as the China Pharmaceutical Industry Association, the China National Pharmaceutical Packaging Association and the International Pharmaceutical Excipients Council (China). Topics include drug R&D, quality control, production processes, environmental protection and safety, and regulatory compliance, with more than 100 industry leaders and experts invited to speak. On the show floor the organizer also runs new product launches, business matchmaking sessions and customized visits.

Who attends

API China connects pharmaceutical manufacturers with supply-chain companies, R&D and production service providers and trade distributors. The organizer reports that 97% of China's Top 100 pharmaceutical companies come to purchase, and its year-round online platform lets buyers search exhibitors and products and post supply or demand before the show.
