World Ocean Summit & Expo 2027

The 14th annual World Ocean Summit & Expo, run by The Economist's events business, comes to Aqaba under the theme "Innovate, protect, prosper: securing our ocean future". It reflects an ocean economy that is moving beyond conservation towards large-scale investment and infrastructure, and asks how quickly investment and policy can align to scale ocean-based solutions sustainably.

The 2026 edition drew 677 registered attendees from 36 countries and 459 companies, with 143 speakers across 43 sessions and 63% of attendees at director level or above.
