Business events in Cairo: what is worth attending in 2026–27

Cairo's business event season runs from October to June, with two peaks: October to December, and June. atndr lists 37 upcoming business events in Cairo for the 2026–27 season. Eighteen of them fall between October and December 2026, and seven fall in June 2027. July and August are empty on the calendar, and the season restarts in September.

Almost all of them are trade exhibitions, not conferences (see conference, exhibition, summit or workshop). Most visits are about meeting suppliers and buyers on a show floor.

Pick by industry. Most sectors have one main show a year, plus smaller ones around it.

Technology

Cairo ICT 2026 runs 7–10 November 2026 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) in New Cairo. It is the 30th edition, and entry is free for trade professionals and students who register online. Data Center X 2026 (26–27 October, Hilton Cairo Heliopolis) is the smaller option for data centre teams. Ai Everything MEA Egypt 2027 follows on 1–2 June 2027.

Energy

EGYPES 2027 (the Egypt Energy Show) runs 30 March–1 April 2027 at EIEC under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. It is the oil and gas event. Its organizer expects 600 companies and 15 country pavilions in 2027. For power and renewables, Egypt Energy 2026 (12–14 October 2026) and Solar & Storage Live Egypt 2027 (18–19 April 2027) are the ones to pick. Solar & Storage Live is free to attend, including its conference.

Construction and building products

Big 5 Construct Egypt 2027 runs 14–16 June 2027 at EIEC, alongside the Egypt Infrastructure Expo 2027. The 2026 edition reported 19,220+ attendees and 268+ exhibitors. Admission is free for trade and industry professionals, and visitors under 18 are not allowed. Specialist shows include Stone Africa 2026, WinDoorEx Middle East 2027 and HVAC-R Egypt Expo 2027.

Food, packaging and hospitality

The second week of December is Cairo's food week. Food Africa 2026, interpack MEA 2026 and Fresh Africa 2026 share EIEC from 7 to 10 December 2026. Fi Africa 2027 and ProPak MENA 2027 repeat the pairing for ingredients and processing on 1–3 June 2027. Hotel and restaurant buyers have HACE Hotel Expo 2026 in October and Caféx & Hotelier 2027 in April.

Healthcare and pharma

Africa Health ExCon 2027 opens on 21 June 2027, and the exhibition and conferences run 22–24 June at EIEC. It is organized by Egypt's Unified Procurement Authority (UPA), the state body for unified medical procurement. Pharmaconex 2027 (6–8 September 2027) covers drug manufacturing.

Manufacturing, textiles and agriculture

Machinery and materials fairs include Autotech Egypt 2026, Mactech Egypt 2026, AFRO PLAST 2027, Metal & Steel Egypt 2027 and Cairo Fashion & Tex 2026. Farm and food producers have Agrena 2026 (poultry, livestock and fish) and Agri Expo 2027. See the Egypt industry and manufacturing calendar for the full list. Two venues host nearly every large trade show in Cairo: the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) in New Cairo and the Cairo International Convention Center (CICC) in Nasr City. Of the 37 upcoming Cairo events on atndr, 26 are at EIEC and 8 at CICC. The rest are in hotels.

EIEC is about 18 km from Cairo International Airport, according to a venue guide published by one of its organizers. The CICC organizers describe it as close to Cairo International Airport. At some EIEC shows only exhibitors, official buses and invited delegations may drive into the venue, so check the parking and shuttle notes on your event's site. Book a hotel near the venue you need: New Cairo for EIEC, and Nasr City or Heliopolis for CICC.

These 2026–27 events are in Egypt but outside Cairo, and each needs its own travel plan.

• New Administrative Capital. CYSEC Egypt 2026 is a one-day cybersecurity summit on 4 November 2026 at The St. Regis New Capital, for government, CISOs, banks and critical-infrastructure operators. Allow for the drive from Cairo when you plan the day.
• El Alamein, on the Mediterranean coast. Alamein Africa Forum 2026 runs 2–4 October 2026 at the New Alamein International Convention and Exhibition Center. Afreximbank, the Government of Egypt and AUDA-NEPAD co-organize it for heads of state, financiers and CEOs. Alamein Agric Expo 2027 follows on 12–14 April 2027 at the same venue.
• Alexandria. Techne Summit Alexandria 2026 runs 3–5 October 2026 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. It is a startup and investor summit.

El Alamein and Alexandria are on the Mediterranean coast, so plan them as separate stops rather than side trips from a Cairo show.

Sort out your visa, badge and hotel early.

• Visa. Egypt runs an official e-Visa portal run by the Ministry of Interior. Citizens of the countries listed on the portal can apply online. A single-entry tourism e-Visa costs USD 30 and a multiple-entry one costs USD 65, according to the portal. Apply at least 7 days before departure. Carry a passport valid for at least six months from arrival, the e-Visa printout and, for a business visit, a supporting letter from your company or an invitation letter. The portal warns that doing business or working without the required permit is an offence, so exhibitors and contractors should ask the organizer which visa it recommends. If your nationality is not on the list, contact the nearest Egyptian embassy.
• Badge. Many Cairo trade shows are free for industry professionals who register online in advance. Summits and forums charge for passes or work by invitation.
• Hotel. When several shows share EIEC in the same week, such as the Food Africa, interpack MEA and Fresh Africa week in December 2026, rooms in New Cairo fill early. Book once your dates are fixed.
• Opening hours. Hours differ by show, and some run over the weekend: Autotech Egypt 2026 runs Friday to Sunday. Check each event page.

Book meetings before you land.

1. Pick the week, not just the event. Co-located shows share a hall and a badge. In December 2026, one EIEC visit covers food, fresh produce and packaging. In June 2027, one visit covers construction and infrastructure.
2. Ask about hosted buyer programmes. Several shows, including Autotech Egypt and Africa Health ExCon, run hosted buyer or matchmaking schemes for qualified buyers. Apply early, because places are limited.
