IWWI 2026 - International Water, Waste & Infrastructure

IWWI (International Water, Waste & Infrastructure) is an exhibition and conference in Cairo for environmental technology, organised by Germany's expotec GmbH with the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW) and under the patronage of Egypt's Ministry of Housing. It connects international and local suppliers with the government authorities, utilities, engineers and consultants planning Egypt's water, sanitation, solid waste and infrastructure projects. The 2026 edition is the fifth, and cooperates with Cairo Water Week, which runs from 25 to 29 October 2026.

What's on show

The exhibition is organised in three product areas, with a German Pavilion for companies headquartered in Germany and an IFAT Waste Pavilion focused on Egypt's integrated waste management programme.

• Water and sanitation: wastewater treatment, desalination, water treatment, pumps, valves, sewer systems, leak detection and lab equipment
• Waste management: municipal solid waste, sludge treatment, composting, thermal technologies, toxic waste treatment and special vehicles
• Energy and infrastructure: renewable and solar energy, municipal engineering, sustainable building, mobility and transport
• Smart technology and AI for utilities

Conference

The IWWI 2026 conference gathers experts, policymakers and innovators for keynotes, expert panels, technical presentations and workshops on water scarcity, waste management and sustainable infrastructure. Conference registration opens separately from visitor registration.

The show targets engineers, consultants, buyers and decision-makers from Egyptian government authorities and their affiliated water and infrastructure companies, alongside private-sector utilities and industry. Structured B2B sessions and high-level meetings are part of the programme.

The organiser cites more than 8,000 specialised visitors at IWWI 2025, representatives from 6 government authorities and 15 affiliated companies, and coverage by 40+ media outlets. The show began in 2022 as Egypt Water, Waste & Infrastructure (EWWI) and was renamed IWWI in 2024.
