Food and FMCG manufacturing
Gulfood Manufacturing 2026 is the UAE's main food manufacturing trade show, with ingredients, processing, packaging, supply chain, and automation sectors. Its 2026 site cites more than 2,500 exhibitors from more than 80 countries. Private Label Middle East 2026 runs the same week at DWTC and suits retailers looking for contract manufacturers. For the wider food trade, see the food and beverage events in the UAE guide.
Automotive, aviation and defence
METAS 2027 in Sharjah covers tyres and spare parts for importers and distributors. MRO Middle East & Aircraft Interiors Middle East 2027 covers aircraft maintenance and cabin interiors, and Dubai Airshow 2027 returns to Dubai World Central on 15–19 November 2027. IDEX & NAVDEX 2027 runs 25–29 January 2027 at ADNEC. It is a defence show, mainly for procurement officials and contractors.
Plastics, paper, glass and materials
ArabPlast 2027, a biennial show, takes Halls 1–8 at DWTC on 24–26 March 2027. In September 2027, UTECH MEFPU-ASB Expo 2027, MECAM Expo 2027 and PRS ME&A 2027 share DWTC on 21–23 September, so one trip covers foam, composites and recycling. Paper Arabia 2026 covers paper, board, tissue and pulp in November. Paper & Tissue Show 2027 and Hygiene & Nonwoven Show 2027 share ADNEC in March 2027. International Glass Manufacturing Show 2027 and Dubai WoodShow 2027 share DWTC on 6–8 April 2027.
Metals, furniture and sourcing fairs
SteelFab 2027, in its 22nd edition, runs live machine tools, welding and cutting equipment on the floor. HIVE Furniture Show 2026 and Surfex 2026 in Sharjah connect furniture and surface-material makers with trade buyers. The 20th China Homelife UAE Expo and Aatmanirbhar Bharat Expo 2027 are country sourcing fairs: Chinese and Indian manufacturers meet Gulf importers and wholesalers.
Energy, construction and industrial engineering
ADIPEC 2026 lists more than 2,250 exhibitors for 2026. The Mining Show 2026 covers mining and quarrying equipment. Big 5 Global 2026 and HVACR World 2026 run together at DWTC. Windows, Doors & Facades 2027 covers facades, windows and glass on 22–25 November 2027, and OS+H Middle East 2027 covers safety equipment and PPE on 24–26 May 2027. Construction buyers should also read the real estate and construction events in the UAE guide.
Broad industrial show or specialist event: which should you attend?
Attend a broad show when you are still defining the problem, and a specialist event when you are writing a shortlist.
- Broad shows such as Big 5 Global 2026 or ADIPEC 2026 cover many product categories and thousands of exhibitors. Plan by hall and product sector.
- Specialist trade shows such as International Glass Manufacturing Show 2027, ArabPlast 2027 or Gulf Print & Pack 2027 are smaller. Most exhibitors sell into one value chain, so you can compare three or four machine makers in an afternoon.
- Sourcing fairs such as The 20th China Homelife UAE Expo put many factories from one country in one hall. They suit importers buying finished goods.
Make it in the Emirates 2027 is a different format again. It is the national industry platform at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi on 3–6 May 2027, built around the UAE's industrial strategy, local production and offtake agreements. Its 2026 edition reported more than 146,000 visitors and 1,245 exhibitors. For the format differences in general, see conference vs exhibition vs summit.
What does it cost to visit a UAE manufacturing exhibition?
Most UAE industrial trade shows are free for trade visitors who register in advance, while conference programmes cost more. A trade visitor is an industry professional who registers to walk the show floor.
| Event | Visitor access | Conference access |
|---|---|---|
| Gulfood Manufacturing 2026 | Registration required; trade professionals only | Not needed for the show floor |
| Big 5 Global 2026 | Visitor ticket AED 250 (AED 100 early bird until 15 October 2026) | Delegate ticket AED 2,750, or AED 1,750 early bird |
| Lubricant Expo Middle East 2027 | Free to attend | Conference included |
| International Apparel & Textile Fair 2026 | Free entry | None |
| ADIPEC 2026 | Visitor registration | Delegate pass, booked separately |
Entry rules are strict and differ by show. Gulfood Manufacturing admits only trade and business professionals, and no one under 18. Big 5 Global and Windows, Doors & Facades turn away visitors under 21, even with a ticket. Carry photo ID and register with a company email address. The free trade show visitor pass guide explains how registration works.
How should buyers and suppliers prepare?
Define the purchase criteria before you arrive, and ask every supplier the same questions.
- Write the constraints that decide a purchase. Throughput, tolerances, certifications, service coverage and spare-parts lead time.
- Shortlist exhibitors from the published list. Most shows post an exhibitor list and floor plan a few weeks before opening.
- Book the important meetings in advance. Senior sales engineers are busiest on the first day.
- Verify after the show. Treat stand material as a claim, not a specification. Check certifications, references and service terms during procurement.
Suppliers should ask for the last edition's visitor breakdown before booking a stand, and favour co-located shows: Big 5 Global and HVACR World share dates and a venue, as do the April glass and wood shows. Follow up within a week. Exporters weighing Saudi Arabia too can compare the manufacturing events in Saudi Arabia guide.
