1st PEARL Gulf Society of Neonatology (GSN) Annual Conference 2026

The 1st PEARL Gulf Society of Neonatology Conference is the inaugural annual meeting of the Gulf Society of Neonatology. Under the theme "PEARLS – Forming Pearls of Wisdom", it brings neonatologists, pediatricians, nurses, researchers and educators to Riyadh to share evidence and shape the future of newborn care across the Gulf.

Format

A pre-conference workshop day on Tuesday 15 December runs several specialised practical tracks, followed by a two-day main conference on 16–17 December with expert sessions, panels, case-based learning and presentations. Delegates can register for workshops, the conference or a combined package.

Objectives

The organisers aim to:

• Advance evidence-based neonatal practice
• Showcase innovations, technologies and research in neonatal medicine
• Promote multidisciplinary collaboration in newborn care
• Explore AI, precision medicine and digital healthcare
• Strengthen regional and international partnerships
• Support the next generation of neonatal leaders

Leadership

The conference is led by society president Ali Almudeer and vice president Mariam Ayed, with Ali Aljabri and Asma Almazrooei on the scientific committee and Abdullah AlOnazi and Sara Alturaif on the organizing committee.
