About this event

Agro Pack & Food Iraq is the country's main B2B exhibition for the agrofood value chain, from farming and livestock to ingredients, food processing and packaging technology. The 9th edition returns to Erbil, organised by So Fuar and fairtrade Messe, and brings international manufacturers and solution providers together with importers, distributors, producers, project developers and government stakeholders from across Iraq.

Exhibition layout

The show fills both halls of the Erbil International Fairground, split into clear thematic zones, and runs alongside Iraq plast for plastics, printing and packaging.

National pavilions

International participation is organised largely through country pavilions. Turkiye (about 70 exhibitors, backed by the Ministry of Trade), China (around 60 exhibitors each year), Iran (some 50 exhibitors via the Trade Promotion Organization) and India (47 exhibitors in 2025) form the largest groups, with pavilions from Armenia, Italy (ITA Italian Trade Agency), Sri Lanka (Sri Lanka Tea Board), the UAE and Germany (AHK Iraq). In 2025, 68 companies from Kurdistan and across Iraq took part.

Why it matters

Iraq is investing heavily in food production, processing and packaging. Citing VDMA figures, the organizers say Iraq's imports of food and packaging technology rose from 89 million euros in 2018 to 298 million euros in 2025, making it the third-largest Arab importer in the Middle East after Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Key figures

The 2025 edition, held together with Iraq plast, drew 346 exhibitors from 21 countries and more than 10,000 participants. The organizers expect 340+ exhibitors and 10,000+ buyers in 2026.
