EGU General Assembly 2027

The EGU General Assembly is the annual meeting of the European Geosciences Union bringing together Earth, planetary and space scientists from across the world. The 2027 Assembly (EGU27) takes place in hybrid format at the Austria Center Vienna and online, offering a week of scientific sessions, networking and an exhibition across every discipline of the geosciences.

Alongside thousands of disciplinary oral and poster sessions, the Assembly runs dedicated formats for cross-cutting work and career development.

Key deadlines

Abstract submission closes on 12 January 2027 at 13:00 CET. Early registration rates apply until 1 March 2027, 13:00 CET; refunds (minus a €50 fee) and attendance changes are possible until the same date.

What on-site registration includes

Access on site and online to the full programme and short courses, recordings of medal lectures, the schedule app, two coffee breaks a day, networking events, the exhibition and a Vienna public transport pass for 4–10 April within the core zone. Meals are not included.

Researchers, PhD candidates and students, research funders, policymakers and industry working on climate, hydrology, natural hazards, geophysics, oceanography and planetary science.
