Recycling Towards Sustainability Conference & Exhibition 2026

Recycling Towards Sustainability (RTS Doha) is the annual conference and exhibition on waste management and the circular economy organised by Qatar's Ministry of Municipality. The 6th edition takes place on 6-7 October 2026 at Raffles Doha under the banner "From Waste To Wealth", bringing together government and semi-government entities, the private sector, investors, researchers and academic institutions to turn waste from an environmental problem into an economic opportunity in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

2026 conference themes

Two days and eight focused sessions are built around six themes.

• Waste recycling and treatment projects towards a circular economy
• Using recycled materials in projects: challenges and opportunities
• Data and statistics for monitoring recycling and treatment
• Innovation in packaging, the Green Workshops Initiative and AI in waste management
• Environmental awareness and education to change community behaviour
• Public cleanliness systems and operations management

Speakers and exhibition

The organisers list 33 experts from Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Arab world, including researchers from Qatar University, HBKU's QEERI and the Gulf Organization for Research and Development, companies such as Lamor Recycling and ACCIONA, and Ministry of Municipality department heads. An exhibition runs alongside the sessions, with Qatar Primary Materials Company (QPMC) and Boom Waste Treatment as platinum sponsors.

New for 2026

Qatar Media Corporation joins as media partner for the first time, a media centre with a studio operates throughout, and school students take part through workshops and interactive activities, introduced by the recycled-material sustainability mascots Bloomi and Scrappy.
