Seafood Expo Global / Seafood Processing Global 2027

Seafood Expo Global and its sister show Seafood Processing Global make up the world's largest seafood trade event, held every spring in Barcelona. Over three days, importers, retailers, foodservice operators and processors meet suppliers of fresh, frozen and value-added seafood alongside makers of processing, packaging and logistics solutions, with a conference programme and awards running next to the stands.

Who attends

The event is strictly business-to-business and closed to the public; only qualified seafood professionals aged 16 and over may enter. Visitors include owners, purchasing executives, category managers and private-label buyers from retail and supermarkets, foodservice and hospitality, processing, import and export, and aquaculture. A Key Buyer Program gives high-volume buyers free registration, early hall access and a dedicated lounge, and a Processing Buyer Program matches pre-qualified buyers with equipment and service suppliers.

Conference and awards

The 2027 conference programme will run more than 30 educational sessions led by seafood industry experts on trade, sourcing, sustainability and business growth. The Seafood Excellence Global Awards pick the best new retail and HORECA products shown at the expo, and networking events and an oyster shucking competition round out the three days.

Key figures

The 2026 edition (the 32nd) was the largest in the event's history: more than 35,500 seafood professionals and 2,290 exhibiting companies from 85 countries, with 65 national and regional pavilions across more than 52,980 net square metres in halls 1 to 5 of Fira Barcelona Gran Via.
