Real estate and construction events in the UAE 2026–27: how to choose

The UAE's 2026–27 property and construction events: what each is for, what tickets cost, and how buyers, suppliers and investors should choose.

By the atndr teamUpdated 9 min read

The short answer

Choose a UAE real estate or construction event by your role: Big 5 Global (23–26 November 2026, Dubai World Trade Centre) for sourcing building products, MEED's MENA Construction Summit (9–10 November 2026) for project owners and contractors, and ACRES in Sharjah (27–30 January 2027) or IPS in Dubai (12–14 April 2027) for buying and selling property. The season runs from October to June and peaks in November. Most major events are in Dubai.

Key takeaways

  • The 2026–27 season peaks in November 2026: Future PropTech Summit (3–4), MENA Construction Summit (9–10), Roads, Bridges & Tunnels MENA (11–12) and Big 5 Global (23–26).
  • Big 5 Global is not free in 2026: a visitor ticket costs AED 100 until 15 October, then AED 250.
  • One Big 5 Global ticket covers its co-located shows, including HVACR World, Future FM and GeoWorld.
  • For property sales, ACRES (27–30 January 2027, Expo Centre Sharjah) and IPS (12–14 April 2027, Dubai World Trade Centre) put developers, banks and buyers in one hall.
  • Specialist product shows run through 2027: Light + Intelligent Building (12–14 January), Dubai WoodShow (6–8 April) and INDEX for interiors (1–3 June).
  • Sharjah's Expo Centre hosts sourcing shows for furniture (HIVE, 26–28 November 2026) and surface materials (Surfex, 8–10 December 2026).

What does the UAE real estate and construction calendar look like in 2026–27?

The UAE's property and construction events cluster between October and June, and peak in November. In November 2026 a PropTech summit, MEED's construction summit, a roads and tunnels conference and the Big 5 Global week all run within four weeks. Specialist product shows and the two big property sales shows follow in January, April and June 2027. Most events are in Dubai, at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC); Expo Centre Sharjah hosts a second, smaller cluster.

atndr lists 24 upcoming UAE real estate and construction events as of October 2026. The table picks the ones that matter month by month. Confirm dates on the organizer's site before you book travel.

Capital, property sales and PropTech

RISE Global 2026 (14 October) links governments and master developers with sovereign wealth funds, institutional investors and private capital. Future PropTech Summit Dubai 2026 is in its 3rd edition and brings PropTech founders, developers and investors together for two days.

ACRES Real Estate Exhibition 2027 is the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition, held with the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department. Developers present off-plan and ready units, and contracts signed at the show can be attested on site. International Property Show (IPS) 2027 reaches its 23rd edition in 2027 and calls itself the Middle East's largest international property sales event, with developers, banks, legal firms and agents on the floor. RAKIS 2026 (11–12 November 2026) is Ras Al Khaimah Chamber's investment summit, with real estate and infrastructure among its sectors.

Projects and infrastructure

MEED's MENA Construction Summit 2026 is in its 7th edition. The 2026 programme focuses on transport infrastructure (roads, airports, light rail and metro), delivery delays and climate resilience. MEED runs the MEED Projects Awards 2026 at the same hotel on 10 November. The Roads, Bridges & Tunnels MENA Conference, in its 3rd edition, covers the same assets from an engineering angle. Transport authorities have UITP MENA Conference 2026 in December 2026 and Global Rail 2027 in Abu Dhabi in September 2027.

Products and building systems

Big 5 Global 2026 is the largest event on this list. The organizer cites more than 65,000 attendees, 1,800 exhibitors and 165 participating countries across the Big 5 Global week. Its co-located shows cover niches you would otherwise travel for: HVACR World 2026 for heating and cooling, Future FM 2026 for facilities management and GeoWorld 2026 for geospatial and surveying. The one-day LiveableCitiesX Summit 2026 is for city authorities, planners and developers.

Light + Intelligent Building Middle East 2027 reaches its 20th edition in 2027, with more than 300 exhibitors expected across seven product sectors. Dubai WoodShow 2027 reported 17,830 visitors and 784 exhibitors from 140 countries at its 2026 edition. INDEX 2027 covers furniture, lighting, surfaces and fit-out for interior projects. In Sharjah, HIVE Furniture Show 2026 is a furniture sourcing fair and Surfex 2026 is an invitation-only sourcing platform for surface materials.

Property event, construction exhibition or summit: which should you attend?

A property event is about money and projects. A construction exhibition is about products and suppliers. A summit is about the people in the room and the pipeline they control. The difference is explained in more depth in conference vs exhibition vs summit.

  • Property and investment events centre developers, investors, brokers and master plans. Go if you are buying into, financing or selling a development. Judge them by the investor and developer lists.
  • Construction exhibitions (trade shows) centre materials, equipment and systems. A trade visitor, an industry professional who registers to walk the show floor, can compare dozens of suppliers in a day. Go if you specify, buy or sell products.
  • Summits and conferences are seated programmes with a limited, often senior audience. Go if you need to hear pipeline and procurement plans from authorities and project owners, or to meet them.

If you can only go to one event a year, the Big 5 Global week in November covers the widest part of the chain in one venue.

What do tickets cost for UAE construction and property events?

Prices vary more than the old "free trade pass" rule suggests. Check the ticket page for your edition and its early-bird deadline.

Event Ticket Price (2026 edition)
Big 5 Global 2026 Visitor (all four days, exhibition and Big 5 Talks) AED 100 early bird, AED 250 standard
Big 5 Global 2026 Delegate (one Leadership Summit plus networking) AED 1,750 early bird, AED 2,750 standard
Big 5 Global 2026 VIP Delegate (all Leadership Summits, VIP lounge) AED 3,000 early bird, AED 4,500 standard

Big 5 Global's early-bird rates end on 15 October 2026. Tickets are non-refundable, and visitors under 21 are not admitted. One ticket covers the co-located shows in the same halls, so you don't need a separate pass for HVACR World or Future FM.

Other official sites list registration but not always a price. MENA Construction Summit 2026 takes registrations of interest through MEED. ACRES Real Estate Exhibition 2027, HIVE Furniture Show 2026 and China Homelife UAE Expo have online visitor registration. Dubai WoodShow 2027 says registration opens soon. RISE Global 2026 and Future PropTech Summit Dubai 2026 sell delegate passes. For how free trade passes work, see how to get a free trade show visitor pass.

How do you choose the right event?

Start from what you want to walk away with, then check the event against it.

  1. Match the audience to your buyer or seller. Look at who the organizer says attends (roles, seniority, countries).
  2. Check what the conference adds. A useful programme gives project, regulation, design or market insight that the stands can't.
  3. Count the co-located shows. In Dubai, one badge often covers several specialist events. The Big 5 Global week puts construction, HVACR, facilities management and geospatial in one venue on the same days.
  4. Look at the calendar around it. November 2026 has the PropTech summit, MEED's summit, the roads and tunnels conference, Big 5 Global and, in Riyadh, Cityscape Global within four weeks. One trip can cover several.
  5. Plan for the floor. Download the floor plan, book meetings through the event app, and allow at least one full day.

What should you sort out before you go?

Sort out tickets, hotel and a meeting plan before you land. If you go in November, book a hotel as soon as your dates are fixed, because several large events run in Dubai that month. The Dubai business events guide covers venues, transport and hotels.

  • Opening hours. Big 5 Global 2026 opens 11am–6pm on 23 November, 10am–6pm on 24 and 25 November, and 10am–5pm on 26 November.
  • Age rule. Big 5 Global and its co-located shows don't admit visitors under 21, even with a ticket.
  • Sharjah trips. ACRES, HIVE and Surfex are at Expo Centre Sharjah. Allow extra time for the Dubai–Sharjah road at rush hour; the Sharjah business events guide covers the venue and the rest of its calendar.
