Business events in Las Vegas: what is worth attending in 2026–27

Las Vegas has no off-season for trade shows. Events run in every month of the year, and the heaviest stretches are October to December and January to May. atndr lists 58 upcoming Las Vegas business events between October 2026 and November 2027. The summer is lighter but still carries June's technology conferences and the security week in early August.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) counted 5,988,200 convention attendees in 2025, out of 38.5 million visitors.

Pick one flagship per industry. These are the largest in their field on atndr for 2026–27.

Technology and AI

CES 2027 runs 6–9 January 2027; Waymo co-CEO Tekedra Mawakana is an announced keynote. AWS re:Invent 2026 runs 30 November to 4 December 2026, and the official site lists more than 2,200 sessions. Other vendor conferences fill the spring: Google Cloud Next 2027 (13–15 April 2027, Mandalay Bay), Cisco Live 2027 (6–10 June 2027, Mandalay Bay), Dell Technologies World 2027 and HPE Discover Las Vegas 2027 at the Venetian. Cybersecurity

The first week of August is security week. Black Hat USA 2027 runs 31 July to 5 August 2027 at Mandalay Bay. DEF CON 35 follows on 5–8 August 2027 in LVCC West Hall. For physical security and access control, ISC West 2027 runs in April at the Venetian.

Fintech and finance

Money20/20 USA 2026 runs 18–21 October 2026 at the Venetian; its organizer bills it as the USA's top fintech event. Fintech Meetup 2027 follows on 22–24 February 2027.

Healthcare

HLTH USA 2026 runs 15–18 November 2026 at the Venetian Expo. The organizer has set HLTH USA 2027 for 17–20 October. AAOS 2027 Annual Meeting is the orthopaedic surgeons' annual meeting in March.

Construction, automotive and manufacturing

World of Concrete 2027 holds its exhibits 19–21 January 2027 at the LVCC, with education sessions from 18 January. NAHB International Builders' Show 2027 runs 2–4 February 2027 alongside KBIS 2027. SEMA Show 2026 runs 3–6 November 2026 at the LVCC. It is trade-only; only Friday 6 November opens to the public. For factory buyers, FABTECH 2026, Automate 2027 and PACK EXPO Las Vegas 2027 cover metal fabrication, robotics and packaging.

Energy, media, retail and meetings

RE+ 2026 runs 16–19 November 2026 at the LVCC, and its organizer has already set 15–18 November 2027 for the next edition. NAB Show 2027 holds its show floor 4–7 April 2027, with conferences from 3 April. JCK Las Vegas 2027 and MAGIC Las Vegas lead jewellery and fashion. IMEX America 2026 (13–15 October 2026) is the meetings and events industry's own trade show.

Three venues host most large shows. Two sit inside Strip resorts, so the venue also decides where to stay.

The LVCC is off the Strip and split into West, Central, North and South halls. Walking from West Hall to the North or Central halls can take up to 25 minutes. The Vegas Loop, a tunnel system run with Tesla vehicles, links five stations on the campus in about 2 minutes, and rides inside the campus are free. The Loop also connects to several Strip resorts and Harry Reid International Airport, but off-campus rides need a ticket.

Smaller events use resort ballrooms, such as CinemaCon 2027 at Caesars Palace.

It is real in the busiest weeks, so book as soon as your dates are fixed. Las Vegas had 150,608 hotel rooms in July 2026, according to the LVCVA. In 2025, weekend occupancy averaged 88.8% and midweek occupancy 76.6%. Big shows fill the midweek nights that are normally easier to book.

The pressure is highest when several large shows overlap. Watch these weeks in 2026–27:

• 3–6 November 2026: SEMA Show 2026 and AAPEX 2026 run at the same time.
• 15–19 November 2026: HLTH USA 2026 and RE+ 2026 overlap.
• 30 November–4 December 2026: AWS re:Invent 2026 spreads across several Strip resorts.
• 6–9 January 2027: CES 2027, the largest show of the year.
• 2–4 February 2027: NAHB International Builders' Show 2027 and KBIS 2027 share the LVCC.
• 31 July–8 August 2027: Black Hat USA 2027, Ai4 2027 and DEF CON 35 back to back.

Book through the organizer's official hotel block, and stay near your venue, or on the Loop or Monorail line for the LVCC. Weekend nights are the fullest, so avoid adding a Friday or Saturday if you can.

Citizens of the Visa Waiver Program countries do not need a visa, but they need an approved ESTA. Everyone else needs a US visa.

• ESTA. US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) runs the Visa Waiver Program. It covers citizens of 42 countries for stays of up to 90 days for business or tourism, and attending a conference or trade show counts as business. You must hold an e-Passport. Apply on the official ESTA website as soon as you start planning, and before buying flights. Use only that official site.
• Visa. If your country is not in the programme, or your ESTA is refused, apply for a visitor visa at a US embassy or consulate. Waiting times vary by country, so start months ahead. Ask the organizer for an invitation letter if the consulate wants one.
• At the border. An ESTA or visa does not guarantee entry. The CBP officer decides on arrival, so carry your registration confirmation and hotel booking.

Exhibitors doing hands-on stand work should check their status with the organizer.

Plan your meetings and your routes before you land.

1. Register early. Many trade shows are free or cheaper for industry professionals who register in advance. See how to get a free trade show visitor pass.
2. Know the format. A vendor conference such as AWS re:Invent 2026 is a paid learning event; a trade show such as SEMA Show 2026 is a buying floor. The guide conference vs exhibition vs summit explains the difference.
3. Book meetings early. Large shows such as HLTH run meeting programmes that open before the event.
4. Budget for walking. Strip resorts are larger than they look on a map. Wear shoes you can stand in all day.
5. Mind the climate. Las Vegas is desert. Summer shows in July and August are hot outside and cold indoors, so carry water and a layer.
