The short answer
The most useful business and management events in the UAE in 2026–27 are HR Summit & Expo Dubai (14–15 October 2026), SuperReturn Middle East (13–15 October), Abu Dhabi Finance Week (7–10 December), the World Governments Summit in Dubai (1–3 February 2027) and AIM Congress in Dubai (12–14 April 2027). Choose by the room. Dubai offers the broader commercial audience, while Abu Dhabi concentrates government and investment networks.

Which UAE business events bring together which people?
Pick by the room, not the label. Below, the upcoming events are grouped by the audience their organizers describe.
HR and people leaders
HR Summit & Expo Dubai 2026 is the HR event its organizer, Informa Connect, bills as the Middle East's biggest. The conference and exhibition run 14–15 October in Hall 6 of the Dubai World Trade Centre, after certified workshops on 11–13 October. GCC GOV HR & Youth Summit & Awards 2026 is its public-sector counterpart: the 14th edition runs 20–21 October at the Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Emirates Pearl, for GCC government HR leaders.
Boards, audit and finance functions
17th Annual Board Secretary and General Counsel 2026 (13–15 October, The Ritz-Carlton JBR) and 19th Annual Internal Auditor 2026 (9–11 November, Sheraton Grand) are marcus evans conferences for board secretaries, general counsel and chief audit executives. ICAI GCC International Conference 2026 is a new two-day conference on 14–15 November at the Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo City, for chartered accountants and finance professionals.
Investors, private capital and family wealth
Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2026 runs 7–10 December 2026 on Al Maryah Island. It is a week of forums, from Asset Abu Dhabi (8 December) to the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum (10 December). ADFW reported 35,000 participants and more than 800 speakers for its 2025 edition.
In Dubai, SuperReturn Middle East 2026 (13–15 October, The Ritz-Carlton DIFC) pairs Gulf limited partners with fund managers, and IPEM Future 2026 (3 November, DIFC) does the same for venture and growth funds. Family capital has four dedicated rooms: Forbes Middle East Family Business Summit 2026 (28–29 October, Abu Dhabi), Dubai Family Wealth Summit 2026 (5 November, Madinat Jumeirah, by application), Bloomberg Invest Dubai 2026 (12 November, One&Only Royal Mirage, by request to attend) and The Private Wealth & Funds Forum 2026 (10 December, Abu Dhabi). Governments and investment promotion
World Governments Summit 2027 runs 1–3 February 2027 at Madinat Jumeirah. Attendance is by invitation. Its 2026 edition reported more than 6,250 attendees. AIM Congress 2027 (12–14 April 2027, Dubai World Trade Centre) is built around foreign direct investment, for governments, investment promotion agencies and investors.
The northern emirates run their own forums. Sharjah Investment Forum 2026 (14–15 October, Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre) is Sharjah's FDI forum, now past eight editions. RAKIS 2026 holds its third edition on 11–12 November at the RAK Exhibition Centre. 6th PPP MENA Forum 2026 (10–11 November, Palazzo Versace Dubai) gathers ministries, PPP units, lenders and contractors.
Senior executives on a theme
Reuters NEXT Gulf 2026 is a one-day, invitation-only summit on 21 October at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. Its 2025 debut drew more than 600 senior executives from over 40 countries. Forbes Middle East Sustainability Leaders Summit 2026 (19–20 October, ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi) covers resilience and the energy transition. Future Growth Nexus Summit 2026 (23 November, Mandarin Oriental Jumeira) is a one-day Forbes Middle East summit on trade, logistics and free zones.
Awards formats
MEED Projects Awards 2026 (10 November, Madinat Jumeirah) recognises construction and infrastructure projects. NEXT Conclave 2026 (31 October–1 November, Le Méridien Dubai) combines a leadership summit with business awards.
Dubai or Abu Dhabi: which city serves which network?
Choose Dubai for a larger and more varied commercial audience. Choose Abu Dhabi when government, sovereign or institutional investment relationships are the reason for the trip.
| Dubai | Abu Dhabi | |
|---|---|---|
| Volume | Most of the calendar | Fewer events |
| Typical audience | Private-sector buyers, regional HQs, fund managers, family offices | Government entities, state-owned companies, asset managers |
| Main venues | Dubai World Trade Centre, DIFC, Madinat Jumeirah, hotels | ADNEC Centre, ADGM on Al Maryah Island, hotels |
| Examples (2026–27) | HR Summit & Expo Dubai 2026, World Governments Summit 2027, AIM Congress 2027 | Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2026, GCC GOV HR & Youth Summit & Awards 2026, Reuters NEXT Gulf 2026 |
In the week of 19–22 October 2026, four Abu Dhabi summits run while the World Green Economy Summit runs in Dubai. Early November is Dubai-heavy: IPEM Future, the Dubai Family Wealth Summit and Bloomberg Invest Dubai fall within ten days.
How do you check that an event has a working networking mechanism?
A promise of networking is not enough. Look for a mechanism that helps you find the right people.
- An attendee list or app before the event. HR Summit & Expo Dubai gives passholders an event app to view attendees and book meetings.
- Separate rooms by pass level. AIM Congress 2027's VIP pass adds a VIP lounge and a VIP networking lunch on top of the B2B lounge.
- Invitation or application rules. The World Governments Summit and Reuters NEXT Gulf are invitation-only, and the Dubai Family Wealth Summit and Bloomberg Invest Dubai screen requests to attend.
- Themed sub-events. A multi-forum week such as ADFW lets you spend a day with one community, such as fintech or asset management.
Weak signs: no named speakers or partners a few weeks out, no agenda, and no way to see who else is attending.
What do UAE business and management events cost?
Prices range from free visitor access to five-figure executive passes. The premium often buys smaller rooms rather than better seats. These are the prices on the official pages on 13 October 2026.
| Event | Pass options (2026–27 edition) |
|---|---|
| Abu Dhabi Finance Week 2026 | Single day US$500, full week US$1,000, Executive US$10,000 (all incl. VAT) |
| AIM Congress 2027 | One day US$999, All Access US$1,999, Premium VIP US$2,999; exhibition-only visitor registration also available |
| Forbes Middle East Sustainability Leaders Summit 2026 | Delegate pass US$400 (US$200 early bird); a visitor pass covers the summit area and panels |
| Future Growth Nexus Summit 2026 | Complimentary access to panels, workshops and the exhibition area |
| HR Summit & Expo Dubai 2026 | Four tiers, Bronze to Platinum; Platinum covers five days, with three workshop days |
AIM Congress offers 30% off registration until 31 December 2026 with an early-bird code on its packages page. Invitation-led events such as the World Governments Summit, Reuters NEXT Gulf and Bloomberg Invest Dubai admit by invitation or request.
How should you choose a business and management event in the UAE?
Work through these questions in order.
- Who do you need to meet? Write down three job titles.
- Which emirate holds that network? Private-sector buyers and fund managers point to Dubai. Government and institutional capital point to Abu Dhabi. FDI into a single emirate points to its own forum, such as Sharjah's or Ras Al Khaimah's.
- What is the format? An exhibition floor is for meeting suppliers. A summit is for the programme and the people in the room. An awards evening is for the shortlisted companies.
- What is the mechanism? Check for an app, an attendee list, matchmaking or hosted roundtables.
- What does your pass unlock? Compare tiers line by line and price the access, not the stage.
- What can you combine? Look for events in the same week to get more from one trip.
For the wider calendar by city, see business events in Dubai and business events in Abu Dhabi.
Frequently asked questions
- Are business conferences in the UAE good for networking?
- They can be, but the mechanism matters. Events with an attendee app, curated roundtables or scheduled meetings are easier to judge than those that promise networking without saying how it works.
- What is the biggest HR event in the UAE?
- HR Summit & Expo Dubai, which its organizer bills as the Middle East's biggest HR event. The 2026 edition runs its conference and exhibition on 14–15 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre, after certified workshops at the Conrad Dubai on 11–13 October.
- Should I attend a business event in Dubai or Abu Dhabi?
- Pick Dubai for a larger and more varied commercial audience, including fund managers and family offices. Pick Abu Dhabi when government, sovereign or institutional investment relationships are central to the trip.
- How much does a ticket to Abu Dhabi Finance Week cost?
- For the 2026 edition (7–10 December), a single-day ticket costs US$500 and a full-week ticket US$1,000, both including VAT. The Executive pass, with extra receptions and lounges, costs US$10,000.
- Which UAE events are for family offices and family businesses?
- Forbes Middle East Family Business Summit (28–29 October 2026, Abu Dhabi), the Dubai Family Wealth Summit (5 November, by application), Bloomberg Invest Dubai (12 November, by request) and The Private Wealth & Funds Forum (10 December, Abu Dhabi).
- Where can I check who attends a UAE business event?
- Look at the organizer's previous-edition report, sponsor list, named partners and speaker companies. These are better evidence than a headline attendance number.
