Healthcare events in Saudi Arabia 2026–27: congress, conference or exhibition?

Saudi Arabia's healthcare season runs from late October to mid-December 2026, with a smaller spring run in March and April 2027. atndr lists 27 upcoming healthcare events in the Kingdom: 20 in Riyadh and 7 in Jeddah. Nineteen of them fall in November and December 2026. Most are specialty congresses run by Saudi and Arab medical societies. The trade shows cluster at two moments: Global Health Exhibition 2026 in October and a supplier week in mid-December.

Dates are the organizers' own, checked in October 2026. Two have moved. The Saudi Heart Association's site now gives 25–27 March 2027 for its 37th conference, and the optometry congress moved from November 2026 to April 2027. The live list is on atndr's healthcare events in Saudi Arabia page.

The three labels describe who the event is built for. A congress is built around clinical education, an exhibition around buying and selling, and a conference or summit around policy, investment and management.

Clinical congress. The scientific programme is the product. Most of this season's events are congresses run by a medical society: thoracic medicine, urology, spine, gastroenterology, fertility, nuclear medicine, endodontics, paediatric neurology and paediatric endocrinology. Most add paid hands-on workshops the day before.

Trade exhibition. CPHI Middle East 2026 is a pure example: machinery, active ingredients, excipients, finished dosage, packaging and contract services. Its FAQ calls it a trade event and states that no one under 18 is admitted.

Conference or summit. HLTH ELEVATE 2026, run by the Saudi Scientific Society for Preventive Health, sits between a congress and a summit. It is CME accredited and also draws founders, researchers and policymakers.

Hybrid. Global Health Exhibition 2026 is an exhibition with four conferences attached: the Leaders Summit, MEDX Forum, the Digital Health Forum and the Capital Xchange Forum for investors.

Match the event to your job, not to its size. The largest show is right for suppliers and buyers. A specialist building clinical skills usually gets more from a society congress.

Hospital leaders, investors and health-tech founders

Global Health Exhibition 2026 runs 26–29 October 2026 at Malham under the theme "Invest in Health". The organizer lists 2,200+ exhibiting brands, 500+ speakers and 120+ hours of CME-accredited learning for 2026. The evening before, Digital Health Evening 2026 (25 October, Radisson Blu Al Sahafa) is a short briefing and dinner for digital health firms entering the Saudi market.

Pharma, biotech, medtech and lab suppliers

Mid-December is supplier week. CPHI Middle East 2026 runs 14–16 December at Malham and expects 60,000 visitors and 1,000+ exhibiting brands in 2026; its 2024 edition drew 30,000+ visitors. BIO Middle East 2026 shares the site and dates and books one-to-one partnering meetings for licensing and investment. Across town at Riyadh Front, MedTech Saudi 2026 covers medical equipment, imaging and hospital supplies, and LabTech Saudi 2026 covers clinical and research lab equipment, both on 14–16 December. ARABLAB LIVE KSA 2026 (14–15 December, The Arena) lists 350+ exhibitors and a free two-day conference.

Clinicians who want education

Two are firsts for the region. The nuclear medicine congress is the first Asia Oceania congress held in Saudi Arabia, and the optometry meeting is the first World Congress of Optometry in the Eastern Mediterranean. HLTH ELEVATE 2026 (3–5 December, Riyadh) lists 16 tracks, 6 workshops and about 2,000 attendees on prevention, lifestyle medicine and longevity.

Rehabilitation and disability services

Saudi International Rehab Expo 2026 runs 2–3 December 2026 at The Arena Riyadh, covering rehabilitation services, assistive technology and inclusive care.

Exhibitions are free or cheap to walk. Congresses with accredited education charge, usually on a sliding scale by profession. Prices below are from the official sites in October 2026, in Saudi riyals (SAR).

Society members usually pay less: SSSPH members pay SAR 400 at HLTH ELEVATE, and Saudi Endodontic Society members SAR 500 at any time. Hands-on workshops are extra. CME (continuing medical education) credits are hours of accredited education that count towards keeping a professional licence. Saudi events usually name the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) as the accrediting body. What matters is who accredited the hours and whether your licensing body accepts them.

• Global Health Exhibition 2026 advertises 120+ hours of CME-accredited learning across its stages and workshops for 2026.
• CPHI Middle East 2026 says attendees can earn 50+ CME credits combined across the CPHI and BIO Middle East 2026 conferences.
• Saudi Endoscopy Days 2026 is accredited by SCFHS for 20 CME hours, and Saudi Digestive Disease Forum 2026 lists 24 CME credits.
• HLTH ELEVATE 2026 is CME accredited, but its free exhibition-only access explicitly carries no CME hours.

Before you book for credits, check three things. First, whether your ticket includes the accredited sessions. Second, the accrediting body named on the certificate. Third, how the organizer records your attendance.

Start from what you need to walk away with, then filter.

1. Define the goal. Credits and clinical updates point to a society congress. Suppliers, distributors or buyers point to an exhibition. Partners, funding or policy contacts point to a summit or a hybrid show's leadership track.
2. Use the clusters. A supplier can cover CPHI, MedTech Saudi, LabTech Saudi and ARABLAB LIVE KSA in one December trip. A clinician in Jeddah has four congresses between 4 and 23 November.
3. Check who can register. Trade shows may admit only professionals over 18. Workshops are often limited by profession and seat count.
4. Price the full trip. Add the pass, workshops, hotel nights, flights and visa.
5. Confirm the dates on the official site. Two congresses on this list moved to 2027 this year.
